Name a ARPG better than PoE

If GGG doesn't reign in the ridiculous power creep in POE2 I'll probably drop the game outright.

As others have said the tactics in ARPGS are important and it's one of the things I really liked about POE way back when especially vs other titles.

One shot mechanics are a pure BS solution and frustrating to players at best and it needs to be fixed.

D4 is looking like shit when it comes to character development but the devs seem to be listening to the community since they are opting to add in real passive trees in the next phase of development. However, itemization looks terrible with everything being purely power creep stat sticks just like in D3.

Who knows, POE is insanely rough around the edges, thus the cult following. Maybe some real balance and visual polishing and smoother gameplay will fix that. But balance seems unlikely looking at the new game system incoming.

I am on the fence. I'll just play what I enjoy and enjoy what I play.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Skyrim with 300+ mods is something I always return to after my eyes burnt out from poe'S visual cluster fuck.

It's like entering an amazingly detailed and colored world after being stuck in a post impressionist nightmare.

Imagine POE offline mode with a modding community behind it. Visual, balance, QOL and other issues would be all solved in a matter of months...

I was thinking about this yesterday. I'd pay anything for an offline version of POE if it came with powerful modding tools.

Modded PoE would definitely be the best arpg out there.

Not dying because of connection is also a good +

Depends on what exactly you want from an arpg game. For solo GD and PoE are the best ones but for tactical multiplayer gameplay Diablo 3 in higher Greater Rifts (140+) in 4m party is the best. There you have to cooperate thoughfully not just mindlessly killing mobs and picking up the loot. Unfortunatelly there's no such a thing as a party cooperation and teamplay in PoE. You don't have to be on voice, to time your skills properly to think tactically to achieve a goal in PoE and that is sad.
DRagon's Dogma
Chronicon

If only poe had the QOL this game has.

sad that this game is for streamers and flippers and bots
This thread is useless. Not a single game that is better or in pair as PoE. You guys sucks.
Diablo 2 because its timeless due to PVP.

If GGG could ahve gotten the PVP right here they could have done a lot less in-game wise and noone would care.

But thats the ONLY ARPG better than PoE
Diablo 1
Diablo 2
Titan Quest
Grim Dawn
Torchlight 2

All leagues better arpg's

Grim Dawn exists...

I've played GD a lot in the past with mods as well, but it still feels very limited compared to poe when it comes to end game content and char customization.

Yes I found the same with GD. I bought the base game and the first expansion and ended up ebing disappointed.

First, there was no endgame worth speaking of.

Second, everything ends up being melee range. There no worthwhile CC or escape that works for long, you end up with enemies standing on your toes and all that really varies is the colour of the swirly firework effects.

When you mention that to the devs, they just mock and tell people they don't understand game design. Not good.
