It's not that much freedom of choice in 6-available-affix-spots, for the cost of slight internal revamp of crafting mods, like adding the mentioned charge crafted mods to the same modgroup (if you like this sort of nerfs) we could get an intuitive "not evil" crafting system, where fracturing even the "can have up to 3 crafted mods" mod would be a "win" and where mod text color actually would have made a sense.


that seem way more coding.

Current system is they are still the same mod but marked as locked so that currency and bench can't modify it

Except they made all mod has a fractured version and code the harvest craft as remove mod add the fractured mod variant
