Broken interaction between Earthshatter and General's Cry

Thats no bug, you need to use something that ISNT generals cry to break them....

Let's read Earthshatter's description together, shall we?
...Warcries or other Slam Attacks performed by you or allied players near any spike will cause them to shatter...

General's Cry is
1) a Warcry
2) not Earthshatter

So it should shatter the spikes. Just like it does if you Earthshatter youself, then use General's Cry.

General's Cry makes mirage Dudes.
Dudes make Spikes (or lightning orbs in case of Static Strike).
General's Cry does not make spikes. Dudes do.

General's Cry ==> Dudes ==> Spikes
General's Cry =/=> Spikes

Well, if we follow your logic, Spikes should stay untouched. But they should NOT despawn.

Once again: DESPAWNING is a bug.
Please read the above posts. The problem shows itself with other skills, like Static Strike.

My Dude You are just riding the tiger without trying to understand what we are talking about....

When you use ANY warcry ANY spikes from ANYWHERE in range should go boom, they don't need to be only from your character.

Also generals cry doesn't make new spikes, it makes new dudes witch are separate entities from last dudes that did the spikes, then these new dudes look for targets to slam again, even if they were the same dudes they only have one spike on the ground each and could do another two before the first one vanishing due to max cap.

Right now if the dudes travel to an enemy a few seconds then the spikes are 3 to 5 seconds on the ground you can actually explode them with a new generals and they don't vanish, but that would be like 5 to 8 seconds total for each rota, useless for clearing, hard to replicate while bossing and throws away the heavy investment that you can do on warcries since you can make generals cry reach less than 2s if you pick al the cdr nodes.

When You die on Softcore, you lose experience.
When you die on Hardcore, you gain experience.
It definitely is broken. New cast of General's Cry should not wipe out the secondary effects of the skills the Summoned Boiz. True I can explode the spikes of Earthshatter by using a THIRD skill in the rotation, but I have to be quick.

Static Strike is wasted....the orbs just vanish on a second General's Cry.
Earthshatter the spikes vanish on a second Generals Cry.

My work-around for the moment as I am trying to see if skill is worthy:
-cyclone with CWC desecrate to create corpses (and fortify)
- cast General's Cry to create 5 Boiz
- they run to targets cast Earthshatter (leaving 25 spikes)
- execute a Grand Slam to trigger all spikes

pause
-cast General's Cry again from new batch of corpses
or
-do the Cyclone cycle all over again. (sometimes trigger with Leap Slam)

If this was intended -- well it sucks. But a bunch of us theorize that if you get your Warcry down to 2 secs, it should be the thing blowing up the spikes.

GGG, please kindly check this.

We want to do fun stuff!

GGG, can we get a word on this?

This needs to be clarified GGG!
We need to know if its working as intended or not, to avoid investing in builds based on those skills, just to see them fail miserably.
The bug will be fixed soon.

Here's a quote from 3.11.1 patch notes:
"
Fixed a bug where General's Cry removed all existing Mirage Warriors, even if they had not yet completed their attacks. This included persistent duration-based ground effects, such as Spikes from Earthshatter.

Thanks, everyone.

P.S. Static Strike is not ground-based so we'll see if the orbs would stay once the Boi disappeared.

Glad its going to be fixed, thanks GGG.
When You die on Softcore, you lose experience.
When you die on Hardcore, you gain experience.
Ok.

Interaction with Earthshatter and Earthquake is fixed.

Static Strike still despawns orbs.

GGG, was is so hard to read this thread?

Once again:
1) Make a character with lots of HP, weak weapon and all Warcry Cooldown nodes
2) Socket the following gems:
Static Strike + General's Cry + Second Wind + Increased Duration.
Desecrate to create corpses
3) Teleport to location, find some monsters, create corpses with Desecrate
4) Use General's Cry, notice how long the orbs stay.
5) Now use General's Cry, wait until the Boiz attack, creating Orbs.
6) As soon as the Orbs appear, use General's Cry once again, notice the orbs' despawn.
