Tried D3 again after awhile and I noticed something it does better than POE

Another thing D3 has over PoE is how fast it makes me sleepy, I swear 5 minutes into Rifts and Chill and my head is literally dropping on the keyboard.

I'm having (smaller and smaller) hopes for D4 but seems like more of the same.

Diablo 3 has somehow devolved into a common arcade game. It belongs on a phone. Maybe that's why Diablo Immortal was the next logical step in the Diablo franchies. Diablo 4 is just a patchwork attempt after the negative response to Immortal, and it doesn't look at any better than Diablo 3. Same graphics, same child game's physics, likely the same limited build options. F for Diablo

I think you need to visit an optometrist if you think Diablo 4 graphics are even remotely like Diablo 3's...
Computer specifications:
Windows 10 Pro x64 | AMD Ryzen 5800X3D | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard | 32GB 3600MHz RAM | MSI Geforce 1070Ti Gamer | Corsair AX 760watt PSU | Samsung 860 Pro 512GB SSD & Crucial MX 500 4TB SSD's
Anybody still remembers how Diablo 3 graphics used to look like in early development?
Just because D4 doesn't look as cartoonish right now, doesn't mean that it's not going to, especially since this time around console optimization will be the top priority from the get-go.

The best thing people can do is to wait and see, don't get tempted by pre-order bonuses, or any such gimmicks. I hope D4 is a good arpg, but the way Blizzard has operated these past years, makes me doubtful about the quality of the final product.
Honestly D3 isn't as good overall as PoE but there are a few things that I like better about it.

One of them being the ability to skip the "story" campaign and go straight to rifts to level... and the Gem of Ease for leveling alts.

I wish PoE would have some mechanic like this after your first character reaches end game.

the big plus of d3 is playing offline mode on the toilet.

So while waiting for news on 3.11 to theory craft I thought eh fudge it i'll give D3 a shot since i just went back to work.

I hit max level in 1 day and got geared etc all that jazz really quick. The only
thing I noticed that was way better in D3 than POE was.... Shrines. When you get a shrine in D3 its something you really notice. I wish our more common shrines in POE were a tad more impactful. Maybe some like

Magic Shrine
Spell damage 50% Crit chance +10% Mana regen 20 per second.

Fury Shrine
Gives player 100 Rage 30% attack damage 20% move speed

Gilded Shrine
Item rarity and quantity increased by 30%

Exiled Shrine
+5 all active skills

Something along these lines and make them a tad less common like making zana only give 2 shrines per map on her mod.

Any input or are you guys content?

You are telling me that shrines in POE are not noticable - are you kidding me?

echo, immortal, accelerate, charge shrines, have you seen them before?
d3 has a much better ladder system and its accessible within game client without need for third parties.

that's what they do much better than poe does.
D3 does things better, like:

-coming from a known and obnoxious gaming company
-forum moderators that do a great job of 'grooming' its gamers into complacent agreement and somehow trashing its own company at the same time, further cementing that act
-watching 'the' D4 playthrough and seeing how terrible it is

GGG are one or two steps away from taking away everything that Blizzard defaults on, by a depleted reputation, or missing the boat entirely.
Rather, I'm worried that recent PoE is becoming more like D3.
insane DPS, few builds completing end content, many speedrun content like GR...

D4 seems to head in the opposite direction.
Greetings,

First thing first: POE overall is WAY better than D3. GGG team has a great communication process with the community and it makes players "forget" some of the bad stuff in POE.

Having said that, D3 has 3 1/2 things that are majorly better than POE:

1 - Game integration: story line avoidance, bounties, rifts and greater rifts.

2 - Kanai's cube. They found a way to give value to a bunch of useless uniques AND gave some flexibility to their very limited builds. I greatly wish POE had a system like that.

3 - Team play. I really really really wish team play would be as available and fun in POE.

3 1/2 - The goblins. I miss the excitation of the goblin packs. POE has nothing as exciting as that.

Thank you
