Tried D3 again after awhile and I noticed something it does better than POE
" Lol speak for yourself. I have played a stack of different builds to end game, and very rarely follow guides cos they bore me. Or look at streamers like Mathil who regularly create new builds and beat everything with them. Or are people like that who can actually think the "Elite" that you are talking about? If the game only makes you suffer, don't play it? Seems pretty obvious to me. |

Multiplayer, for sure. I don't get people saying the combat is better though. They're both spam fests, D3 just doesn't kill you as much for bad movement.
And in this you have the option to play tactfully with lots of skills though. In D3 you're limited to at most 6 skills, which the only one that will ever be used situationally is the movement skill. The rest will just get spammed nonstop unless they have 30+ second cooldown, then you just wait until there's lots of enemies or a tough one. The only way I can see people preferring D3 combat is they don't like challenges. Which seems right, since most people claiming that say they run busted cookie cutter glass cannons in this. |

its suppose to be a grinding game.. all these shortcuts shrines for more loot and being op for some time are ruining the meaning of grinding

" In my own experience, other than build diversity, the skill limit doesn't actually make much different in combat. In POE, you one-shot everything (include rares) with your main damaging skill, and maybe cast a curse or put down a buff/debuff totem once in a while during boss fight. While POE have better boss fight, I think that the D3 elite combat are better, you can't one-shot them in Greater Rift and their mods are actually doing something, compared to the POE that the only mods I notice were the on-death effect and ally cannot die. That being said, I haven't play POE for long (start since Blight) so my opinion doesn't really matter. |

You spam 1 button in diablo 3 all the same, with everything else on numlock.
Greater rifts are and always have been about entering/exiting ad infinitum, until you find a playable layout. Turning mobs into damage sponges does not equate good arpg combat system, but when everything else is so watered down, it's the only solution they could come up with in order to cap the 'progress' ceiling. |

Something else D3 does way better than POE at least on the PS4 version is that the game is rock solid in terms of performance. No matter how busy the screen gets the fps remains solid.
Sadly the PS4 version of PoE, for me at least, has more crash reports by an order of magnitude than all my other PS4 games combined. Coupled with the fact that it often seems like I am watching a PowerPoint presentation rather than playing a game. Non of those issues on D3 but I tend to burn out quicker in D3 so I keep playing POE despite of its awful stability issues. |

Spoiler
Lol, no. You never got too into D3. Try bombing through mobs with 150%+ move speed in that and see how it goes.

" *Hands over tp* also wash your hands. In my experience pretty well thanks and not one crash. In fact I checked my crash log on my PS4 to be sure. Poe has 52 individual crash reports on its own the other 122 games I own (D3 included) have 6 between them so yeah. If you have a different experience thats fine but I can only comment on my own as failed omniscient class at school all those many years ago Last edited by Lisa_GGG#0000 on Jun 3, 2020, 9:25:08 AM

" Yeah, I wasn't talking about crashes, I know PoE crashes massively more. In well over 10,000 hours of D3 I only crashed two or three times. If you try to push a character to clear as well in possible in D3 the performance is massively worse though. Seriously try it when you can, you can easily get enough to fuck up the game with just a Ring of Larceny and Buff Belt on a DH. Go into the highest difficulty where you can just blow stuff up and try and plow through some grifts, it's way worse than PoE, you can get full lockups and offline desync somehow. |
