Also, don't complain about people reporting these things. in PoE Vulkan is in Beta and feedback is required. And you will never stop duplicates as
1) there is no proper way of reporting works/does not work
2) people will not search if their problem already exists



Exactly, GGG is asking for feedback/bugs in their announcement, that's what we do in software development when we release a BETA !

GGG can't test every graphic cards and drivers, so having some feedback from us is important.

Of course, it's a beta, so people should not complain about bugs (but i've not seen that many, just people trying to make it work).
It would be better if a topic was pinned for every graphic card manufacturer.

I've only done small dev in opengl and directx so i'm not an expert.

But in the last years, more game developpers have complained about the directx layers and cpu cost.
They wanted to be "closer to the metal" (hardware). So vulkan/dx12 is a return to lower level development.

vulkan/dx12 are low CPU overhead APIs, with better multicore usage for shaders,rendering, etc.
The tradeof is they requires more development than dx9/dx11 (unless you are using an engine like unreal engine).
And Vulkan has a different shader language so there's some work here too.
