I died the 1000000000000000000000000 times to FPS spikes
" I'm running a gtx1050 with a ryzen cpu, same ssd I think, 32 gigs of ram underclocked currently.. i'm running almost all high settings, cept for shadows n light I think. with dynamic resolution on I get no screen freezes, though my fps do drop to around 20 at the lowest rarely with sumners along with my discharge.. thinking it's something with your internet, or drivers/firmware |

" No, if you're using the DX11 renderer, asset loads literally stop the engine completely. And by stop I mean the game does not accept input and the actual video rendering freezes until the assets are loaded. I died to that several times this league. The new Vulkan API that got put into the 3.10.2 patch yesterday helps with this dramatically. Sound can now be re-enabled with more consistent performance than in the previous set of patches this league. Last edited by SquishyTia#5943 on May 28, 2020, 3:57:18 PM

" That's great news! Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

So first of all, pointing fingers and calling people names isn't how you go about getting help with your problems. Keyword: your problems.
Thousands upon thousands of players around the world playing with little to no issues, yet you're having this happen. Obviously something is wrong, but it may not be what you think and until you're open to that, you'll be posting this until the end of time. I'm not saying that I know what is causing this for you, but from what you're telling me and from my personal experience in this field, you should first assess what you can easily troubleshoot, which everything on your end. This is why Support would begin asking you for dxdiag reports and the like, just to see if everything is in correct order. Saying "but other games work fine" is not undeniable proof that it's the game client or the server and it doesn't help you to take that stance until you actually prove it. Soooo many factors are involved with software and netcode and data that travels vast distances. Take out your diagnostic tools and start by taking them out one by one. Just saw your last post, I'm glad Vulkan works better for you. I'm seeing a lot of people with lower end specs saying the same thing. This is one big step closer to finding out the cause of your issues when running the game through DX11. Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done. Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. " Fuck SSD. If the devs only use SSD and it's needed to play properly they should state clearly in the requirements that you MUST have a SSD to play. Otherwise they MUST create things that run smooth in normal HDD. When it's gonna happen? Never. Adding vulkan doesn't solve the problem. Yesterday was still getting 10fps Sirus fight with 5 seconds of screen freeze on last phase. Ping was 20ms max, but FPS just shit like normal DX11. Also the loading is even worse: took 10 seconds to load the clouds, and when I saw I already teleported INSIDE onde withou even knowing. Outside Sirus (normal mapping) was getting 20 to 30 FPS in Delirium maps. Simulacrum still went to 10- fps. When I went into a Cortex it took 10 seconds to load all the monsters, and I was WTF just killed me? and 10 seconds later mobs started loading AFTER THEY FUCKING KILLED ME. Every other game I have, like literally, I run on max settings with little to none FPS drop. Just PoE makes my laptop turn into a plane turbine for a shitty FPS performance. "There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

" Take a chill pill. I'm not the only one having exact that issue. You know the last thing what i remember back when i last played? DX11 coming out and it worked fine for me on PoE. You know whats the difference between 2.0 and 3.10? Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more stuff to render / calculate. You can't keep adding stuff and think like nothing will happen. With my PC i'm pretty much filling those recommended requirements: Recommended: OS: Windows 10 Processor: x64-compatible, quad core, 3.2GHz or better Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 Ti or ATI Radeon™ RX560 or better DirectX: Version 11 Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 32 GB available space Additional Notes: Solid state storage is recommended And yet it still did not run smooth up until recently. Just raise the requirements in that case. And yes i'm still fed up with the direction IT is going. For years now no one tests srsly anymore. " I moved pretty fast to an m.2 SSD (samsung evo 970). Its the fastest thing i've seen in all my years of desktop usage. The only thing faster is the 100TB Storage from Pure Storage we have at work ;-) Last edited by loardpcm#1572 on May 29, 2020, 1:58:16 PM
