why dont i have a mirror yet?
I got a mirror to drop on my first play-through way back when I had no idea what I was doing. I used it to mirror one of the rings I was wearing because it was mildly better than the other one.
I've never gotten another one. |

" No, not "you". It´s not just him. Humans in general have a problem dealing with randomness. It´s the same reason why lottery systems are popular, why people believe in lucky numbers at roulette or think that prayers can change events in their future lives. Human brains are simply terrible at processing random chances. The reason for that is very simple: evolution. Pattern recognition gives a predatorial species a significant advantage over their prey and competing or dangerous predators. The ability to figure out a preys behaviour or at which time of day the evil tiger is on the move allows a predator to hunt more efficiently and to avoid dangerous encounters. And the human brain is very VERY VERY good at this. We can detect the most obscure patterns in nature with incredible ease. BUT that leads to situations where we see patterns when there are none. Or we simply assume patterns from singular chance observation. Because our brains are hardwired to assume patterns in nature. And this gets exacerbated if those imagined patterns align with already identified and verified patterns. In OPs case this is easily demonstrated. Human society exhibits a very simple and easily observable pattern: materially wealthy people are almost always better off. They have easier access to resources and are treated better by other people. Another pattern is that in human society the quality and/or amount of goods and services that are exchanged for material wealth positively correlate with the amount of wealth exchanged, which means higher investment leads to higher rewards. Therefor it is very natural to assume that players who invested more into a game get access to better rewards. It is (based on all evidence I have seen so far) a fallacy, but it is a natural assumption. So you really shouldn´t mock OP. You should pity him for falling victim to his animal brain. Hold on to yer shite load o´ bloody barnacles on me arse-cockles, me hearty!

do the mods lock threads upon request? i'm tempted to respond to some of the people who are mocking me but i know it would be me who gets put on probation again for the 100th time so it would best if this just got locked.

" Yes, they can lock the thread for you before you embarass yourself even more The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. Last edited by ArtCrusade#4438 on Apr 28, 2020, 5:27:44 PM

" how did i embarass myself? because i dont have the herd mentality and just blindly believe everything i am told? that i form my own opinion based on what i see and experience for myself? and no apparently they wont lock it because i already asked for it.
