Performance issue define PoE

There is no secret that the game has never been very efficient on the performance side. It has and is still an issue, even today. It has gotten better in certain aspects, but it is still a poor performer. Especially when you consider the graphics, while decent, are not the top in the gaming industry.
I have been able to mitigate it, but that is only because I upgraded to a 2080, Intel Core-I9, and 64gb of ram. So it was a costly mitigation. Even with all that, I still see lag spikes and occasional drops, but usually not ones that get me killed too often. poe runs 100% beautifully idk what ur talking about
the only time my fps drops is when theres too many dead bodies on the screen or when theres too many sound effects going on the dead bodies i already made the suggestion to ggg to have an option to remove them from the screen as we kill monsters the sound effects, u need to open file production_config and type FALSE in front of sound effects ^ this alone will make the game run extremely smooth almost under any circumstances u wont have sound effects, but at least no fps drops at all another thing u can do is buy a sound card for $35 and it will solve it as well and u can have sound effects |

" i doubt you don't get fps drops when you spawn the first delirium of your play session and you're playing a pure cyclone build which has very little skill effects but if you were playing a build with more skill effects you would definitely not say the game "runs 100% beautifully" and having to turn off sounds just to have better performance should not be an excuse |

I understand other games may run cooler but seeing 90c outside of like..Prime95 means your case sucks/cooling sucks /fan profile sucks...who knows, but its not PoE. there will always be ppl that swear everything is silky smooth ;)
everyone has different standards. ppl were happy with 30 fps at some point after all. meanwhile id really like if they polished/tweaked for better performances. *turning off sounds isnt a good option, sounds and sound cues are 50% of the game. there are bigger / better looking games out there that perform better. no need to whiteknight ;) hopefully poe2 will be a lot better performance-wise Last edited by teksuoPOE#2987 on Apr 22, 2020, 4:20:18 PM

Cant complain when you have experienced beta poe performance lol. Run 3 screens and be teleported back. People tend to ignore how many performance improvements we have seen over the years.
Reduction in skill effects and mob density is the solution. |
