You mean there isn't anything GGG can do about bots farming currency 24/7? If we can sit in town and easily see a bot with it's erratic movement behavior then clever programming should be able to detect this wonky movement that signifies it's a bot controlled exile and ban it.

They do bans in waves. There is no point in banning single accounts one at a time since they will just easily create another account in 3 seconds.

At least, because GGG has a corporate liability. And It's not some small local publisher with B- MMOs whose employees earn $200/month and have nothing to lose if they get caught for selling in game items on side.

And about bots - i googled a lot back in the days when you could actually see hordes of them in towns. And i think it's being 1.5-2 years since GGG blocked em out with a super cool detection system which led bot programmers to completely give up on supporting their "products". Of course there were rumors about some asian private bot, but no mortal has an access to it and it must cost thousands of dollars if they exist ofcourse :) I haven't seen any in game for years.

Drops seem way off, you hear all these big streamers say "just play the game to make currency".
Well, played around 300 hours in this league since day 1, 2ex dropped amd generally really aweful drops all around.

Now just for research purposes and because of the theory that ggg or some devs just selling currency I checked one big site that I'm not gonna name.
2nd day of the league people were selling hundreds of exalts and chaos (other currency don't really matter).

Let's also say that the exalts they have in stash isn't actually the number they show online (some of them claimed to have like 100k ex) but still to sell I guess you need at least a few dozens right? (can't test it cause I don't have so much money to just try and buy 100ex 2nd day of the league to see what the sh*t is going on).

One of the theories you might already know is the rigged rng.
People watch videos and streams for a game right? If the game looks fun and promising more people will play it. In an arpg drops are the best thing. We all play these games for the thrill drops give us.
You play the game but the drops are way lower than what you though, you complain, people come out and say "well you're doing it wrong, you're bad at the game, you need to play more, blah blah".

Of course rng is rng but after playing for so god damn long it starts to feel that something is wrong.
Small example. Was playing yesterday all day (like every other day since this league because of the quarantine), was running high tier maps 14-15 with sextants some scarabs a few times and of course quality and rare (some corrupted as well). Was activating delirium in most of them too.
From ALL the loot I got into my dump tab if I combined it was around mostly 2ex also barely made back the alchs I used.

Drops feels way off, people might be duping currency or devs generating them, only big names get the best drops and well the game is mostly centered around those with no life that PoE is their job now.

Not one exalt has dropped for me in the last two Leagues. Everything else that dropped has been complete crap. I think it was six months ago that I had a Unique drop. So get used to it cause GGG seems not to be available any more.

man, people use bot in this game to literally do EVERYTHING for you
exalteds pops up like water flowing from your bathroom tap
you just need to buy/free download and learn how to use them

you can see any streamer using it live
mathil use a click program, stash checker, stash organizer, chaos recipe bot, etc
mbxtreme uses it too, but disable when streaming
