They do also pop up even if you don't search for them.
Never visited or searched for them but googling some items usually brings up one of those sites.
Even had ads for it on a site when I haven't visited any of them before.

It's that google sees you searhing for Path of Exile and goes "hey this is related to PoE, he might be interested in it".

Ofc that's not all of the cases.
It’s highly possible these websites are owned by ggg...just theorizing, since it’s another source of revenue stream for a free game...hmmmmmmm

The numbers start to add up.

Huge amount of exalts for sale 18 hours after league opens when there should be very few found - check

GGG highly valued by tencent even though no visible revenue stream that isnt based on gamers generosity - check

No action against sellers, ever - Check

Nerfs on builds that are viable without huge investments - check

Ongoing new and interesting leagues that get progressively harder, making you invest more to progress to your expect level - check

I mean, Im not pretending to know, but its an interesting possibility.

I laughed. I hope that was the intention :)
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
Hilariously enough, I saw an RMT ad on PoE reddit...

You know, if the developers could magically instantly ban all RMT players (buyers and sellers), all trade bots and also remove log out macro from the game, PoE would lose about 90% of its current players.

You say you're not pretending to know, yet you word your post like you know it's a fact.
See people, this is what stupidity does to your brain, don't be this person.
You know that more than half of this RMT sites belong to Tencent, right?
