Because as soon as I log to char select all record of who just whispered me vanish, so there's no way to know who I'm trying to whisper to in whatever league the char is on (unless you just happen to have eiditic memory or copy the initial whisper before changing chars).
Pretty cumbersome, to say the least.

People with flags should be eliminated from searches (AFK/DND/Offline) entirely. If they're in another league they should be filtered out (even if they have items listed in the league of the buyer).

Everyone with a sales setup tab should automatically get a built in trade macro - using one of the selected hideout characters (zana, einhar, ect). When a whisper comes in, this character handles the entire trade. They initiate a trade group (this does not appear to the seller). The buyer cannot access portals created by the seller, ect. Buyer places the appropriate currency in the trade window, HO character dumps listed item from stash, accept and done, trade group closed.

This requires prices to be set. Items worth haggling over can be haggled over without involving the HO character.

May need something in there to verify that the buyer is not a bot, tho...

To whisper the person who pm'd you, usually you or the other person would tell them to pm you again in 10 secs or so. That's one way, another is to do whatever copy / paste thing some people know how to do within in game. Lastly, there's always the chat log.

To use it, minimize the client, right click PoE and open file location. Then click the logs folder and open the log.text file. It's basically a entire log of your chats and whispers; from private to guild, to global and even trade. Open the log scroll to the very bottom (which is the most recent date/ time) and just highlight and copy the name. Then go back to in game and use Ctrl V

Searching through folders and files is silly. This sort of info should be included in the !(Help) screen, but that feature is just way too half-assed and just about completely ignored. Probably because it's a tiny button with a speech balloon ! instead of a ? or FAQ or HELP like any other FAQ/Help section ever.
