Still a bit confused reading the gem...
It reserves mana based on the supported skills. So if I link it to 5 spells like arc, frostbolt etc, each having a 20 mana cost, it reserves only 100 mana and procs all of them every time I use a wand attack? Am I missing something? No. Its really there just because it was weird people had to self harm to cast CWDT spells for combos.
Now, you can just spellslinger them. But, its really only useful for combos. Any spell self cast is going to do more damage in almost every case. If anyone can show a single build doing more spellslinger damage than a single 6L self cast, Id be curious. |

Its purely utility for self buff or easy cursing and you can frenzy yourself

I think it's good for utility setups - culling strike/IIR, LoH, curses, apply exposure, poisons, EE, etc.
For pure DPS, since you need a wand, you are limited to a single 6L, which you most likely don't want to use with the 0.5s cd and 60%+ mana reservation. In most cases, you're better with some damage aura and another "more damage" support. Last edited by 6_din_49#4066 on Mar 13, 2020, 3:24:54 AM

You sling (cast) ALL your spells at ONCE. You can't do that with self cast.
