it's obviously running on my dedicated card.
I can play all new games with medium/low settings +140 fps without any issues but 800x600 poe is nightmare

No way you can play this game with that cpu(I've got the A8 6410 with m260).
If 10 fps its fine then its ok.

Have some problems too with:

Rtx 2080
Ryzen 9 3900x
16 gb ram
ssd 512

My fps is stable in safe zone, more than 200 but in maps I got like 30-40, especially with delirium encounter
I have this fps drop problem too.

And by the comments on this topic, ggg don't have a support for this.
Sad, the game was so promissing.
I have a i9-9900KS
32GB 3000MHz DDR4
2080TI with the game installed on a raided M2 drive.

Have the same problem...

Had you bothered reading the sticky, you'd know why there is no posts from ggg.

Also, is 2080 ti i9 16gb the new copy-paste bs from newegg?
It used to be 1080 ti i7 16gb.
The meme has evolved lol.
No rest for the wicked.
This is the most useless thread I've ever seen. Someone reporting a legitimate problem, where literally every pc is susceptible to this insane frame drop issue due to lag spikes no matter how good your hardware or internet is. Instead, it results in some guy flexing his dick about how OP has shitty hardware, but the problem isn't even related to hardware. I have seen a ton of posts about this frame drop issue and it is reported on a myriad of hardware configurations. It seems to stem from the game's net code or something because I can guarantee it is not my hardware. I've tried 20 different settings combinations to no avail, and this, the top hit POE forum post on google, is the most useless thing I have ever forced myself to read. Why participate in a forum if you aren't even going to take OP seriously and shame him for hardware without educating yourself on the problem he's talking about. Useless.

THIS.

Utterly useless trolls in this thread. I run Destiny 2 with max graphics at 4k effortlessly matching my monitor's refresh rate, but can't play PoE - no matter what settings I choose - without dropping dozens of frames in a row? Ridiculous.

The problem seems to be that assets are not being loaded until they're called, which is unacceptable. Deliriums are a nightmare for this reason - nothing is loaded until it's trying to kill you, which is when the video card has to do all the work, resulting in dropping 70% or more of the frames at the worst possible time. I'm also running the game from SSD, so the issue is not that the drive can't keep up with the card.

I can't imagine the frustration of people who play hardcore with this rampant issue. It's pissed me off enough just losing XP to poor optimization, never mind losing a whole seasonal character. This is 100% NOT a hardware issue, and everyone acting like it is doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. You are not experts, you're just trying to appear that you are.

GGG seems to be aware of the issue (exactly as I described it), and yet still we have armchair pedants trash-talking people over their hardware without knowing the first thing about render/load orders and graphics processing. Bunch of idiots.

As I understand it the FPS drops tend to be because of all the calculations going on in the background when there is a lot of stuff on screen.

I get drops to one FPS frequently when in combat with “a lot of enemies”. Seems to be particularly Lbad with certain league content. betrayal and heist being the worst. Spikes during regular mapping are there but slightly less frequent.

My question is, am I correct in thinking that having a better CPU would have the most affect in helping to decrease these FPS drops? Or is it tied more to Ram, GPU, or WiFi?

I have lowered/optimized most of the in game settings. But any other suggestions on increasing performance would be appreciated.

I have a mid to high end gaming laptop purchased within a year and a half in case that’s helpful info. 1060 graphic, 8 gig ram, good intel CPU.
