Unplayable FPS drops on good PC
|
don't bother posting this anymore, they aren't gonna fix it, they need to completely transfer the game to another engine , I currently have 2070 super and and i7 with 16gb of ram, game on SSD and it's shit fps drops, crashesm simply unplayable. Hopefully POE2 will get their brains straighten up and be more successful in terms of optimization. Game is perfect otherwise. Goodbye POE

" Came on forums to find help but seems help is non existent fps is like a jackpot you either have good fps or random crash and no fps. I got pretty much same spec except non super and i cant even relate how bad this game is right now . Enter a map random freeze for 3 sec - kill a pack random freeze . Most of time i just end up dying at the start of map because game freeze on first encounter . I have no idea how they fuck it up so badly. Worst part is they shill customer suport is so good and look here zero reply . Can easily maintain 100 + fps on Control with rtx on , but this garbage freezes and dips below 30 fps constantly . Time to quit . chaotic neutral

" This tells me that you have no idea what you're talking about on multiple levels. First of all, you clearly have no idea what a game engine even is, so stop pretending you know shit. Second, if you'd read the thread (or Known Issues post) you'd know that they've stated they're moving more monster effects into pre-load so they aren't being called the instant they're activated. That's the fix that they "aren't gonna fix." Way to embarrass yourself. |

My fps drops to like 10 when on map... sadly
gtx 1060 laptop with i7-8generation vulkan not helping me :( |

Just wanted to post an update on my post from the previous page.
I moved POE to my sad drive. Had to uninstall Witcher 3 so it would fit :(, but it solved 90% of my FPS problems :). So it looks like the main reason for FPS drops is physical memory. If you don’t have an SSD, look up optimized graphics settings for POE on YouTube. Won’t fix everything but it did help me a little. |

" GGG sld dedicate more time on optimizing their code/servers, etc. rather than coming up with new leagues every 3 mths that is a pure bugfest. Skip 1 league and take that 3 mths to clean up the coding, mem leaks. In the meantime, poe is only for those with super computers. |

Idk about it being okay for those of us with "super computers" I have been crashing all day with a Thread ripper, and 2x 2080 gfx cards

Im in same bag, can play any other games on high all, but in poe everything is on minimum/low and its still make fps drops, lags and crashes.
I think PoE is so far one of the worst "optimized" game I've ever experienced in my life. |

i7-10750H
16GB RAM RTX 2070 (8GB VRAM) SSD I'm at 140 FPS in my hideout. If I go into an influenced map, though, engaging any pack throws me into the gutter: I constantly slog through sub-20 FPS, often hitting zero. Latency has its spikes during this, but it's typically constant 20 to 30 ping. I also notice my flask icons are black each time I reenter a map; feels like nothing stays in cache and I'm loading everything anytime something happens. During these slogs, my CPU is pegged at 100%, while my GPU is anywhere from 40 to 60%. I've tried some of the suggestions for CPU utilization, but nothing has helped. (Edit: I've emailed GGG my DxDiag and Client log) Last edited by 3DNeophyte#5208 on Oct 13, 2020, 1:36:05 PM
