100 ms increase in ping (Paris EU), started 3 days ago, won't go away.

Hello,

The issue started 3 days ago, maybe before as i was away for 3 days before that and noticed it when i got back home, it seems to get worse as time passes.

First of all i'll juste state that my ping has always been a solid 40 to 45ms before that, playing on Paris EU servers, lockstep, standalone client, win10 x64 and HC so i won't play as long as it goes on. My ping was always steady (graph showed a straight line) but now goes all over the place while staying above 120 ms.
Edit: Forgot to mention my computer is wired to the router, no wifi.

I first noticed the issue when entering a map 3 days ago, ping jumped from 40 to 150, but went back to 40 when i portal'd to hideout. I tried closing and re-launching the game and it went back to a normal 40ms in maps.

Unfortunately it kept reoccurring and i had to restart the client every few maps i entered, annoying but bearable. In the meantime the jump to 150ms started occuring in hideout as well.

Now this afternoon i started the game and played a few maps until my ping went to 150 but this time it won't budge, restarting the client won't help anymore and it stays at 150 in town, hideout and maps, i tried playing on Amsterdam EU since it is the only other server i can get a decent ping on, but it happens as well. I noticed that when selecting the server the ping displayed in the list is normal, around 40 ms, and does not go higher than 60ms after multiple times of refreshing the server list. Ping tests to Paris servers look normal as well.

I tried restarting my router, restarted computer multiple times, anti-virus scans, and updated everything that could be updated (windows, drivers, etc...), it won't stop and i'm stuck at 120-170ms.

I'm changing ISP next month as we just got eligible for fiber optics, but i would still appreciate to play the game and push for challenges before league ends.

Here is a winmtr i ran this afternoon:

Thank you for reading and i'm hoping we can get to the bottom of this, is it an ISP, computer or server issue?

Edit: added screenshots.

Update: Tried playing again tonight, ping is down but higher than it was before the issue and much less stable...

Same here it's realy hard to play like that :(
Update 2: Latency was fine for a few maps and jumped back to 150+ with new spikes at 1500 (wtf?) occured once again when portaling back to hideout after map, re-logged a few times and ping settled back to 49ish with a stable line as i used to have, but i'm pretty sure it's gonna get crazy again soon...

Screenshot of graph a moment after the high ping started re-occurring:

Shot after multiple re logging, back to stable but still a bit higher than normal:

After some time, ping is less and less stable:

And it gets worse as time passes:

Every other apps and games work fine... I really think it has something to do with the gateway now...

Edit: As expected, after 1 map ping went crazy again, witness the huge spike once i left map and arrived in my hideout :

Read the first sticky. You aren't giving anyone any useful information. You have to run MTR's to the zones' IP address. That's the only way we can see what's going on...just posting screen shots of your latency bar doesn't help.

Read my first post entirely and see that i ran a 1000+ packet MTR.
Je regarde ton post avec attention, je suis exactement dans le même cas que toi... Ce soir c'était juste totalement injouable avec ces pics de latence.

The way PoE works is, then when you login to a gateway like Paris it will put your HO there. However when you start running maps, this is NO LONGER garenteed.
So please start documenting what IP your HO have (and make a WinMTR report against that), then when you have a laggy map instance document that IP and make new WinMTR report against that also.

Because for me it sounds like maybe some of your map instances are being placed on other PoE gateways.....
I can confirm the Paris gateway is having some problems.

I have a 950mbps/400mbps connection (fiber), always 5ms ping to the gateway and 16ms in game.

Since a few days, i have 25ms to the gateway, 35ms in game with jumps over 100ms. The 30ms ping is not a problem of course but the jumps are pretty bad (stutters).

I've made some WINMTR for a few hideouts and other instances from the paris gateway.
-> 4ms ping until 82.112.96.230 which is an NTT America address, 30ms after.
-> just checked again [23h30], ping is back to 4ms even after the NTT america server.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
When playing solo, i have never seen the game putting my map through a different gateway.
The only thing to know is, if you change gateway after opening a map, the map will stay in the gateway used to create it.
