AMD GPU won't switch to higher Power States
see this clip, it should explain it all: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/549952150
50-80% gpu load but gpu clock and gpu memory clock stay on a very low level??? At that load my GPU should run at ~1500mhz core clock and 1080mhz mem clock. This is the only game, where this happens. relevant system info: OS: Versio 10.0.18363 Build 18363 (Education x64) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 RAM: 16GB Mainboard: MSI B450-A Pro GPU: MSI RX Vega 56 AIR BOOST 8G OC PSU: Corsair RM650X Sound: Sharkoon Gaming DAC Pro S (If I only knew how to force power states on windows, I'd do it to "patch" that shit for myself in the meantime, but I am not even sure if that's possible on windows at all..) EDIT: additional info: using the newest AMD Driver (WHQL). EDOT2: This helped me: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2697883 even tho that's no real solution it's a workaround at least. Try this, but for Me game goes smoothly and lower using resources is positive.

i only have a dedicated gpu...
maybe i should post this on reddit or something so this gets some real attention. for example: see how apex runs on my PC while streaming: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/549964830?t=0h10m17s Last edited by LMHTB#2931 on Feb 10, 2020, 3:53:19 PM

Ok but why You want gear memory clock ? If there is no need then for what You want force it ? In My opinion if application, program uses less resources with the same result is better and shows correct code designed. Programs witch uses more resources is worse. Besides on Your movie it seems that in few moments memory skip to higher clocking. Then in My opinion everything is ok.

" dude, it's obviously not ok when a workaround gives me 200 avg fps rofl. see this thread and pls don't reply here anymore: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2697883 |

I decided not to click this link after such an answer but I clicked. First DirectX is designed to show some realistic 3D effects. Some One dont understand this and if some give Them more FPS they swallow this without thinking.
Do what You want but dont think You are smarter than others. Have more than 60 FPS don't have difference if there is more You will dont notice it if they are truly rendered and displayed. Cinema standard is 24 FPS and movies looks good in Cinema. Want 200 FPS not on DrectX just do it :)... 🌞 Designer of SimpleFilter see My Item Filters 🌞

" Please, stop. I know you are trying to help, but you obviously don't have a clue how computer (or optics) really works, and frankly, you are only embarrassing yourself. DirectX is API layer designed to get easy access to GPU resources, same way as Vulkan. Both of them are using different approach, but both of them can be used to achieve same thing. That is reason DirectX -> Vulkan translation is possible and is also reason why one can work better than the other, depending on scenario. Last edited by julus#1066 on Feb 11, 2020, 7:29:30 PM

Thanks for explanation now I know how it works.
Other API could work better but translation not, conversion could be lossy. It could be nice if Path of Exile supports OpenGL or other interfaces like Vulkan, because then the game will be available on Linux etc, I support this. 🌞 Designer of SimpleFilter see My Item Filters 🌞 🌞 I treat PoE as an art 🌞 Last edited by koszmarnica#7777 on Feb 12, 2020, 9:53:52 AM
