It's 2020 and I'm still hate the Labyrinth.

I am a semi-casual player and there are many other things that bother me in this game other than Labs. I used to get so pissed because when you die it is over, then you have to spend all that time getting back to where you were. Or you get a trade PM for something decent, you have to port and sell, then start all over. You get completely trapped in there.

But in time, I have learned you have to prepare properly and not rush in certain parts. The last Izaro room can be rough depending on the RNG for that day. If it is a hard one try it the next day.
The lab had potential that never was fully realized. The kind of just made it and let it sit while they kept moving forward with the game. The only thing keeping it alive is the mandatory ascendancy points to get from it and helmet enchant farming.

I don't hate it but I don't like how GGG handles the content in the game. They have a lot of great ideas but these ideas only see 50 or 70% of what it could be. But they have to keep moving forward to keep people coming back and hyped up for new content.

It'll be interesting to see how PoE 2 changes things. The new story will have a new way to ascend. Will that mean new characters literally don't have to step into the lab at all? If so, that may be the final nail in the coffin for the lab. Time will tell with this one.

As for this lab. It's okay at best for me. I do them and get them over with, maybe run uber lab for glove/boot enchants but thats about it. The traps don't really suit the movement of this game very well.
Perhaps, with the traps, you find the information helpful, that you shouldn't move while bleeding. Ideally, you have a anti bleed flask ready to consume. Every trap with a spike deals physical damage and inflicts bleeding.
Switching some skills especially for the lap may also be an idea. If you have problems, avoid skills like whirling blades, or shield charge. There are many movement skill that helps you getting through the traps. Like flame dash, leap Slam, smoke mine, or lightning wrap. You can switch back after.
