Can I Get Someone Banned For Scamming?
So joined a chayula host who offered 5 stones for 2ex. After he collected everybody's loot, he just dipped. Can I report this guy or is there nothing i can do?

You can learn a valuable lesson.
Trust no one. But if you insist on such services, find people in the forums with a good reputation. Last edited by ReinEuthanasia#3658 on Jan 19, 2020, 5:11:32 PM

was lookin for a post and stumbled on this one. figured id stick my 2cents in real quick bc ive experienced that exact same scam (same rota, even) before.
for what its worth, ive been using this wraeclast.club site i found on reddit for a few leagues now BECAUSE of similar forum-related issues. there are several reasons scammers wouldnt succeed if they attempted the same shit that they do on the forums, on that site (negative feedback isnt removed; cant manipulate ratings or anything (can sort/filter by ratings, too, which is cool); actually requires email verification so users cant make literal 100's of accounts for fake positive feedback - shit like that). seems most ppl use that resource for carries or other services (i do bounties there, myself), but im sure rotas could be worked into the mix somehow too. shitty thing is not a ton of ppl seem to be aware of it yet, but maybe check it out. hope this helps and sry to hear of your loss :( trolled Fox News in an interview... wound up famous. thx for the virility humans! https://youtu.be/hkK-gI7xAP4 "...I'm one of the heroes." lol Last edited by Smoke_Dawg#1645 on Jan 19, 2020, 6:10:30 PM

This post really illustrates the danger of these scam threads. This poster actually wants to go after someone and get him banned. If GGG went along with this, it wouldn't be long before players started targeting innocent players just for the kicks of griefing them. GGG can ban whoever they want. But as soon as they let players dictate who should be banned or not, it's game over.

Just to be clear: You gave 2ex to a stranger for services to be rendered in the future?
If you learned your lesson for the future, that education is worth way more than 2 ex, but sure, you can report whoever you like, for whatever you like. Just understand that "report" != "ban" |

" Most services, even irl, is based on trust. The difference being that irl there is a legal and enforcement framework to deal with it when the trust break down (scam) where else there is none in POE. It doesn’t have to be this way. It will convert your forum titles into decorative square badges that use the space next to your forum posts more economically so that you can show off an unlimited number of them at any one time. - GGG, 2018 (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3573673)

" I was very excited to read that post until I saw the date. Thank you for posting it though. I wish GGG would make such a thing part of the rules. I think it might cut down on the scamming significantly. To maybe reduce some of the flames that I might receive for that statement, I will just state that I have never been scammed myself. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

" That post still stands. A lot of rampant scammers are banned every league. The main issue that I suspect is that ggg lacks a solid audit trail and the number of reports are overwhelming the moderators. Which leads to them banning only the ones that have many reports against them. |
