Arctic Armour

Does anyone know how the new AA goes with Cloak of Flame?
The wording on AA reads:
X% Less Fire Damage Taken When Hit

If a monster hits me 1000 physical damage, and the 20% of this damage is converted into fire by Cloak of Flame, can AA further reduce this 200 damage hit by X%?
Yes. Conversion is the first step in determining Damage Taken.
Just to clarify, is the damage reduction on Arctic Armour decided when the mob starts attacking o when the projectile actually hits you?

Also, what about mob attacks that move you (e.g. chargers) - does the full damage reduction apply or does it not apply for a short duration (in which others of the same group could hit you)?
Have to ask, is the chill when hit affected by duration modifiers? Because tooltip does not reflect that (unlike chilled ground duration)

Chill is affected by Chill Duration. Status ailments are always unaffected by Skill Duration.
I find Arctic Armour crap now. On my flameblast char I have a corrupted Rathpith +1 to socketed gems and find my empower makes like no difference going from 20 AA to 23 is %1 and it cost %8 more reserve for AA from empower now to. AA was too powerful but I think it was changed too much here is my suggestion

Lvl.....Req Lvl.Dex.....Int.....% less Phys Dmg
..............................................% less Fire Dmg

This gem need complet rework or to be back as before because it's just a void gem with footprint now, it's written arctic armour but this gem basically do nothing,

-chill works 1% of time
-reduce 10% physical dmg while stationnary is asking to die when monster can one shot or two shot you, you have to be stationary to get the armor effect hence they will one shot you. Not only that but it don't work all the time if you just slighty move.

Several options :
-1 delete the gem
-2 make the gem as before.
-3 make the gem intel with high intel requirements, and make the reduction works while moving.

Does Arctic Armour work with Flicker Strike? I.E. do you get the damage reduction while flickering? Or does Flicker Strike count as moving?
I have a question about the new arctic armour.

I am running a build with lightning coil, MoM, armour, granite flask, and endurance charges to reduce Physical dmg. My question is, what is the order in which these reductions apply, cuz if arctic armour applies first, then is a good gem, but if it applies later, it totally suck.

Can you please tell me the order now that the gem is reworked? i think it used to apply later in the reduction chain, but it used to work very diferent, so plz, answer me!

thanks

Coil -> Armour + Endurance Charges* -> Fort -> Arctic Armour -> Mind over Matter**

* = Calculate total Physical Damage taken, Convert, calculate Armour reduction, add Endurance Charges and Soul of Steel (if taken). This reduction caps at 90%.
** = Mind over Matter is not really relevant to Damage mitigation but whatever.

As always, all sources of Increased and Reduced are additive. Because Fortify grants Reduced Damage Taken from Hits, it is additive with for example Shock and Abyssus. Arctic Armour is a Less-type modifier, and thus multiplicative.
