Planning a new PC for a post Windows 7 world.

I have been dealing with fps dropping to under 30 for the last year or so by restarting client every few maps. The current league has finally broken me and with Windows 7 support ending in January it is time to upgrade my 6 year old PC. I would like to spend less than $3000AUD.

This is my current setup:

CPU: i5 3570k (3.4GHz)
MOB: Asus P8Z77-V-LK
GPU: Gigabyte GTX670(2GB)
PSU: Antec HCG 620w
RAM: G Skill Ares 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz
SSD1: Sandisk 120GB - Windows 7(64 bit)
SSD2: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB - PoE (2 yrs old as SSD1 was getting full)

BenQ xl2420 (24”) - 1920x1080 – 120Hz - Game
BenQ GW2455 (24”) - 1920x1080 – 60Hz – Twitch/Netflix/Browser

This is my planned set up:
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x (3.6-4.4GHz)
MOB: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite Wifi (won't use wifi, supports 3200 XMP)
GPU: RX 5700XT(8GB)
PSU: Seasonic 650W 80+ Gold
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz (can oc 3600+)
SSD: Corsair MP600 1TB (gen 4)
Case: Silverstone RL06 Pro (one of the best ATX thermals/airflow)
Cost: ~$2500AUD

I noticed that this is very similar to ZiggyDs, but he doesn't have FPS data on screen all the time. Will check over vods to see performance.

EDIT: I just noticed that all of the AMD crashes were with 3700x and 5700XT. Will be holding off buying anything until GGG fixes the game.

I may go with Mathil, Ziz, Raiz set up because they have had no issues. Probably more expensive for everything except PoE though.

It is probably impossible to get 120 fps steady even at 1080p even with the best rig in the world if you play above tier 10 maps. Youll likely be able to get 60-100 but maybe a few dips in extreme situations but certainly never 120 steady.

poe is almost entirely reliant on the strength of your GPU.

Thanks for the reply.

I'll adjust my expectations to above 60fps most of the time. My main issue has been fps dropping and not recovering unless I restart client.
Avoid name brands except for the cpu, gpu, mobo. Everything else is a noob trap.

But what is your budget?

Win10 is going to be nightmare.. you will see.. nothing good about it, it was shoved to use for free at one point, installed without our permision and so on.. pure spyware.

I hope your new pc runs poe flawlessly minimum 140fps..
I dislike rarity so much im almost quitting poe2. GGG.

reminder that unless you're using pre-2006 hardware, your system is compromised at the hardware level, and it doesn't matter which OS you use. crying about a spyware OS only betrays your lack of knowledge on all things computer related
Im currently using gtx1050ti
i5-8400(stay at 3.9gz)
I set my 144hz monitor to 100hz,so poe will auto capped at 100fps wif vsync on,i can maintain around 80-100fps without tearing thx to vsync. I did try the new poe video setting turn off vsync and lock at 100fps but it sux alot stuttering and tearing, i suggest always turn vsync on if u wan smooth game play.
Rx5700xt wif ryzen 3600 is enuff for 100fps stable even u set to 2k reso.
Actualy i wan set to 60hz wif vsync on becuz play wif 100fps my gpu run around 63 degrees but i dono why when i set to 60hz it just cant detect my nvidia control panel graphic setting so i will just stay at 100hz and yea 100fps is smooth! poe doest need 144hz.

If the first part of your post is true the second part isn't. Higher map tiers being less stable would mean it's based more on your CPU. The only thing that changes in higher map tiers is the size/amount of math being done.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.
