The Sirus Fight is Really Badly Designed

The whole fight is designed about being a bullet hell where you can't see anything, where the minimap and visual terrain don't match (so you wind up running into invisible walls), and the only thing that actually threatens to kill you is not the boss but the giant bullet hell storms.

The boss himself and his abilities are super uninteresting and generic. The fight would be a pushover if it weren't 100% reliant on shitty visuals and trapping you with nowhere to run.

Oh, and if you die and try the fight again and a storm followed you to map entrance, there's literally nothing you can do - can't even get back to the boss.

Really poor boss design when what you are fighting is not the boss but random environmental traps and poor visual signaling about pathing. It's like everything people hated about running Lab, but on steroids.

Gotta agree. And all these problems come on top of his unbelievable damage. Like really, he hits with shaper slam amounts of damage 5 times per second, with no windup or any telegraph. Which would be ok, just keep moving and he might miss. But as you said, moving is hardly possible in that fight because you can't fuckin see shit.

Agree. I run melee. If not a high reg build, its kind of hard to sustain. Environmental damage everywhere. When I tried to get back into the fight, I had to walk through the storms, because there was no other way. Even I went through the gap between the storms, still cost half of my life. Kind of like fighting shaper with vortex everywhere, no where u can stand.
Well, I died, then I couldn't get back into the arena because one of those clouds moved over the entrance and didn't let me out. I feel like I could have gotten him with my last 3 portals, but you know, I couldn't reengage the fight. I'm very-very curious how can you miss somehting like this when designing the fight. Or maybe I'm just too weak and stupid. Also, I wish they would stop putting 10k dps floors/clouds in boss arenas :( and I have to agree the environment feels not so great

Absolutely agree. High environmental damage is shit design.
Anybody know how to deal with his invulnerability phase?
Tried to run away but then i realized his cyclone thing is moving and got killed.
Getting close to him is also death wish.
I trully have no idea what to do.

This fight is most likely the worst thing they ever designed.
Agree, world #1 worst boss encounter in the universe.

Cool chair bro but thats about it.

so, i have him 'open' and ready but..

ive checked some YT videos about this fight (if boss can cheat with BS mechanics i see no wrong learning them) and it is like one of the WORST game designs ever

wtf are these cyclones? why they can perma-seal the area AT RANDOM? why the moving camera? do we really need that pseudo-snow to obscure the vision even more?

perma-minion builds like spectres are not likely to complete it. melee.. yeah right. i wonder how many people in that 30k usd race re-rolled after seeing that their builds have simply no realistic chance.

so far what ive seens is successful is ENORMOUS DPS and standoff + distraction (like totems/skeletons and the like). stuff that you can easily re-summon, that deals damage while you run for your life (still the best defence in POE)

DoTs are not very successful due to insane life pool and resists

oh well, maybe lets brick the attempt and take a break. too many bugs, too many questionable decisions this patch

When I started the fight I lost half my spectres before even engaging him lul. They just seem to be drawn to those tornadoes.

Next boss they release will be immune to elemental damage. Because excluding builds from being able to even put up a fight seems like the next thing they are doing.
