Crashes, 5700 XT AMD Issue?
I just experienced the same crash with warframe so it's definitely not a problem with POE, i'm sorry about my last comment.

" I have used the Vulkan workaround, disabled that PCI power saving thing, updated all my drivers. Tane is no longer directly crashing my game/pc but I cannot run it for more than 1 hour without a crash. I think its because since the latest patch my GPU and VRAM are at 99% usage constantly no matter what. I am playing on default settings, 60 frame cap / 60 Hz monitor. RX 480 video card. No other games do this. Also, as opposed to the previous quote I never had issues with poe before. Just the occasional dc or crash, I think its rather normal or bearable every 2-3 days one happening considering the technical debt. |

" It was the same thing for me. 3.5-3.8 no issues. 3.9 and Tane was greeting me with game crashes. I tried almost everything posted in this topic until Vulkan workaround was found. That one solved the crashes completely for me, and I was able to play with it 8 hours straight without any crash (Ryzen 3700x, 32gb ram, 5700XT). As the vulkan mod had the biggest success for other people as well, I made kinda that guide so it can help other people (and some people switched to it as it offered much better performance for them). If you get 100% gpu usage while having vsync or FPS softcap enabled with vulkan mod (unless you have Nvidia card where vulkan vsync does not work properly), I am afraid there is something wrong on your system. With vulkan mod, my gpu is around 25% when frame limit enabled... (except very busy maps (T8+ ) Just a general idea. Lot of people are using overlays lately (like steam/discord/teamspeak/poe trade and so on). These can have very negative impact on game stability and GPU usage. If you have any of those, try to turn them off and try game without vulkan. sometimes people are blaming game developers, but the issue actually is in some other software interfering with the game (might not be your case, but still worth checking) Last edited by julus#1066 on Dec 24, 2019, 6:15:40 AM

Is this considered solved?
Have had a couple of long gaming sessions in poe since patches, but still getting the random black screen when in game. Just happened standing in town for instance... |

Windows 7 — AMD 5700
Honestly, I should have read this post before reinstalling Windows, LOL! I thought my video drivers had become corrupt since no driver updates in the last year worked with POE. One issue is that the POE in-game cursor keeps changing to a black box with the desktop cursor being barely visible within the black box. I kept having to press Alt+Tab to return to desktop, and then ALt+Tab back in to POE, and it would return to a black screen sometimes. I can run every other game perfectly on max Ultra settings, so please fix your damn game GGG. Merry Fucking Christmas! |

getting this issue for the first time today. I crashed warping into Crossroads, then again just after hitting login
running a 5700 XT build as well. |

Most likely nobody will answer us these days. I have a mail pending as well with several diagnostics sent to GGG. I can barely play the game now

so I turned off my loot filter and it seems to be working without error

Is it time to accept there is no long term fix for this and Navi? Dauntless is also crashing non-stop with Navi cards.
