Crashes, 5700 XT AMD Issue?

Crashes for me as well in ~70% of the cases when I pick up an organ that makes Tane appear. I see the starting spawn animation, but then it freezes for 5-10 seconds, and then crash to desktop.

I have worked around it by now by just not picking up any organ. Then he doesn't spawn.
still crashing even after patch. so are you still working on it?
Same issue on a 280x but oddly only after level 2.
So found this on the steam disccusion board.
"I have an AMD rx 5700 xt and with these startup options "--waitforpreload --noasync" i no longer crash"
Seems to have worked only issue is it makes the load screens and start up of the game super long. Even so far as having to wait through a blue circle. Been picking up organs and everything so far without crash now.
Same problem. me too

Starting in Ledge, when Tane appears with 5 body parts (either by auto-appearing or being summoned), I get a GPU crash.

AMD R9 200-series, Windows 7
Posted this on another thread but I can relate to this issue: Crash when Tane appears but quite recently played for quite a while by disabling fullscreen optimizations but then crashed when created a Metamorph. After that I started crashing again when Tane appears.

DxDiag: https://pastebin.com/85G1jHPS
AMD Ryzen 3700X @ 4.25ghz
Sapphire 5700 XT Nitro+ running on most recent Adrenalin drivers.
32GB Corsair Dominator @ 3200C16
Windows 10 1803 build

I have tried:

- Disabling fullscreen optimizations
- Undervolting GPU
- Stock CPU clocks
- Running windowed 1600x900 (this actually seems like a workaround without getting any crash)
- Fiddling with in-game settings.
- Deleting shader cache

Client.txt doesn't indicate any D3D errors. This same kind of issue has been happening on League of Legends but I fixed it by using low-spec mode.

It's another bullshit "solution", you're still going to get the exact same crash, already tried it.

People having confirmation bias just because they changed a setting and could play for more time without crashing.

Well I havent crashed yet :x done a ton of metamorphs. It might be just that it worked out for me. Sorry to see it doesnt work for others. |But I have tested both with it on and off. When its off I immediatly crash again. When its on I havent crashed ill post if this changes at all.

I tried using steam client with those options, and it did take longer to load up in general, so it does do something. Still, I am unable to get through a single area (old fields) without client crashing.
