Boss rewards. When?
Its strange tho, in most arpgs including D2 bosses usually where worth killing for loot. Sure there are some uber bosses in PoE which are worth doing.
But most of the other stuff is just too little for the hassle. Looking at PoE 2 with so many boss battles even in act 1, some taking several minutes...the experiance would feel much more rewarding if they atleast drop something useful from time to time... |

" Always the same out of you. News flash, the game is designed around trading. NOT trading is literally gimping yourself multiple times and ways over. |

I'm a simple man. I see T16 maps drop and i feel more excited compared to when an exalt drops.
Boss drops should be buffed and can be buffed to always feel good even in trade league. Solution is simple: "consumables". We have tons of "consumables" that are not worth trading for (too much effort for too little gain) but they would be amazing as insta "small" rewards. I mean imagine breach scarab. Would you waste time to buy +1 breach scarab? I highly doubt. But if such a scarab would drop instead from a boss? Yey, nice loot. It's nice little thing that isn't broken in terms of value but let you feel that you are rewarded for your effort. Last edited by karoollll2534#2874 on Dec 10, 2019, 4:07:35 PM

Many of the map clearing streamers and builds recommend skipping bosses until you are overgeared. Clearly something is off with risk reward.
Blame trade all you want, but whether you trade or not, killing the boss is generally pointless compared to fast clear. I kill bosses, but I do find the lack of reward annoying. A guaranteed map of same tier or higher would be a good start. Or (to the OP) just play a summoner. Up to T15, my minion army was deleting bosses essentially off-screen from me. It became a problem because I wouldnt always notice a T13/14 boss die. The nerfs probably wont impact this level of power much. |

Maybe I'm just weird, but I kill the bosses because it's fun. I get that from a pure cost/benefit analysis standpoint they aren't worth it, but I just like doing it.
If you build is not too OP the boss fights are one of the last places in the game you really have to think and make decisions about positioning and whether you should be DPSing or avoiding the bosses abilities. I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to get more stuff, but I find it strange that people would actually want to skip these fights for the off chance that they might find something good from killing trash mobs during that time instead. Master missions...
You need no other reason to kill them. |

Partialy borrow mechanic from D3 and modify it for POE.
What I mean, increase reward from bosses (in example always spawn currency chest like the one in delve when you kill boss or make it scale with tier of map), but boss spawn only after you clear something like 70% of the map (like greater rift in D3) so you cannot just rush it. |
