Boss rewards. When?

I see bosses being buffed over and over again in the past leagues.

However, rewards still crap, few wisdows and portals, if you are lucky.

Question is: When are we having 50% chance to drop a higher +1 tier map when dealing with bosses in maps?

Make the boss kill a thing. Make the boss kill something challenge. Make the boss kill something rewarding.

I can't believe we are going to have a full atlas tier 16 but bosses will still drop wisdows.

This so frustrating specially for HC players. No reason at all to kill them. We keep skipping them.

This is not supposed to happen.

You must trade. Once you start trading, drops will always be "crap" no matter what they do. That's because you've traded for items that you want. That item was one of a million or more different drops, and you picked the one you wanted. That means there's about 1 in a million chance of finding better randomly. That wont change if they change the drop rates.

Killing the boss is required for gaining a master mission, and is required for completion on the atlas. Seems like "reward" enough.

Boss have a dedicated extra chance to drop a map and are the only source of +2 possible in a map.

OP has a point. Boss rewards always were dogshit in poe.

Why should bosses have increased drops? If they they drop too well then you only focus on bosses and ignore the “trash mobs”. Which got their name because they were considered trash compared with the increased loot of the bosses. “Bosses” were meant to be the carrot so people would continue their monthly subscription. With that model dead, we should kill the rest of those remnants as well.

Any frustration is simply you having an expectation that doesn’t comport with reality. If you don’t want to kill bosses, then don’t kill bosses. However, you are not entitled to better loot just because you place a higher significant on them than GGG does.

You really have no idea what you are saying do you....

Firstly it is mandatory to kill bosses because they gate your completion either to an act finish or map clear. You can't 'Choose' to not kill bosses.

When difficulty is greatly increased but rewards don't follow, people will stop playing and progressing. Its natural that the harder the encounter is the better the reward should be.

If uber elder didn't drop triple mod watcher's eye would everyone still farm it? Imagine if poe was actually like the game you that you described it would have died long time ago.

My guess is that they are gonna buff the loot tables of all of the act bosses, we'll see in tml's patch notes

Valid point. Trade will always diminish dropped rewards.

But no matter if you trade or play self-found, boss drops are bad. And by bad, I mean bad versus the expected/minimum gear you need to beat said boss. The amount of loot you get from doing a map+boss is OK. But the balance between the map and the boss is bad. 20% less on the map itself, 20% more on the boss.

As of now, skipping the boss is a valid choice (if we look at time/drops). It would be interesting if skipping the map (and just do the boss) would be just as valid (time/drops). Of course, doing just the boss takes less time, and should yield less rewards. But again; the scale is wrong.

I think you're wrong (sadly). Did they buff the drop rewards on rare monsters, when they got buffed last patch? No, only the XP reward. So they might increase the XP reward on bosses, but I doubt they'll touch the loot tables. I think their stance is "drops are where they should be, difficulty isn't".

I think overall PoEs boss rewards is kinda bad. Both map bosses but also campaign bosses should have more useful drops. Such a anti climax when you lets say kill Malachai or Kitava and he drops like 1 rare item.
Strange how like 1 delve node is way better then any reward from an map boss.

U forget that we Will get "pieces" from Bosses now, that when combined for a bigger fight will give some decent rewards.

If the drops are always "crap" after you start trading how does one have any currency to actually trade with?
