The wrong policy on real money trades and d2jsp
" Then you have no base to say that 'plenty' of people are doing it. It has the same validity as if I say 99% of the playerbase doesn't do it. Which is none. Daily traffic on RMT sites != purchases. Plus most of those sites sell currency for many games, there's no way to know if the amount of players who engage in RMT is a significant amount. |

Shall I close this now then, OP? Your opinion is out there, and it's almost certain that most of the responses will be trolling -- if you define disagreeing with you as 'trolling'. You won't find people supporting any sort of RMT on here. We're here precisely because we despise that practice.
And yes, it might be head-in-the-sand behaviour but this is still preferable to 'embracing' the problem. That's what D3 did and...yeah I don't think that needs to be discussed. And as someone who has supported more than one Diamond's worth, I can also say that just because a person *can* pay to win doesn't mean they will. Part of why GGG has supporters such as myself and Reaper (5x Diamond) is BECAUSE they are so staunch against RMT of in-game items. I feel that you're trying to make the game something it's not, and while that's understandable, aren't there already games out there that satisfy the pay-to-win urges, if not outright encourage them? Let us have this one game that doesn't. Please. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. " Sure close it, I think you can understand my reasoning but since it has absolutely no support.... Screw it... |
