The wrong policy on real money trades and d2jsp

I think the problem its pretty common sense, but I'm sure GGG has their reasons....

I don't think you are.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

I just think people should be able to do what they want with their currency for all the reasons listed in my original post.

That's great, and when you make your game you'll be free to allow RMT, as long as you play this game you are stuck with the policies that the people who make it impose. No RMT is one of those.
GGG should definitely sell currency, uniques, gems, skill points and respec points, and also other people accounts for real money. That would make this game awesome!!!!

Spoiler
trolling? I think so.
RIP Diablo franchise

RIP Bird Lovers of Wraeclast <BLÔW>

Congrats Chris & others for cashing out! I don't blame you. I'll be saving money now... unless I start making a lot more. Can't wait to see if you guys start a new studio in six years! RIP GGG
Seriously, one of the many reasons I'm playing PoE exclusively over any other game out there, is because there is no pay-to-win mechanic.
Life is tough... but it is tougher if you're stupid.

I would argue that your just turning a blind eye to the problem, plenty of people are buying items on third party sights. Plenty of people are sending paypal $ for whatever they need. As with any popular game.

If you have the money, you can "paytowin" on any number of the pay sites. Its a fact.

I see that many of you disagree, but i have yet to find 1 valid reason why this unenforceable policy is still productive.

GGG simply seems to be wasting resources trying to win a impossible battle and the game environment isn't any better because of it.

To begin with I'd love to see where you get your numbers. I have no idea how you arrived to the conclusion that 'plenty' of people are buying from RMT sites.
No policy will ever prevent RMT completely, but this definitely mitigates it.
I'd also love to know why you assume that GGG is wasting resources.
The OP showed his whole hand. First he feigns sympathy for those who work full time jobs to help further his argument, then ridicules them by calling them "credit card warriors" and "noobs not willing to put in the time". Clearly he just wants to feed his gaming habits by selling virtual items for cash, but is too scared of getting banned.

Transparent and laughable.

He should just make an account on d2jsp that isnt close to his in game name, then make a fake account in PoE transfer items, sell, profit. HE wins and he wins. WIN WIN!

Not sure why anyone is scared of PoE being against D2jsp. Thats like being afraid to watch movies online because hollywoods gonna get ya

Was it not obvious by my original post that I was in favor of making buying and selling between players for real money legal?

I never produced any numbers and I'm not going to link the 3rd party sights and forums which have a massive amount of daily traffic. But trust me, they are there......

Anyways, I got my opinion out there. Obviously not popular, but i think it would be the right direction. Not going to feed trolls.

Still a great game either way.
