Twitch Drops
" This is false to a point. The math GGG presented about the average time you would need to watch to get something made it seem like as long as you watched long enough, you would get SOMETHING. Especially when on day 2 they doubled the drop rate, making it seemingly a for sure thing you'd get SOMETHING if you watched most of the broadcast. When ppl are given a chance, they want a fair chance. So far with how things were handled, we arent even sure if we were given that so its understandable ppl are upset. |

" a lot of people aren't going to give them a second chance at it. ggg basically scammed us all into being viewbots on twitch for two days. i personally will never watch any promotional anything ever again for loot and others share the sentiment based on twitter reddit etc |

Got a 3rd drop today, started off as 0 drop gang.
Still some hope for people. |

While I haven't received any drops yet, I don't think being aggressive towards players is going to make the drop system any better and yes I do believe the twitch drop system has several problems that need to be resolved in the near future

" lol still happily married to my first wife, nice attempt at an insult. Didn't a mod just scold you for that in the other thread you keep crying int? Also pretty sure last night was the first I commented on the matter all have been in general chat, non in the bug report section. you can keep making things up though if you wish. and if it was something as simple as you reporting the bug, and notifying people that there is a bug, and that's why they might not have received a drop yet I wouldn't have even commented. But your posts are. "Omg GGG knew about this problem and they still no give me free stuff, GGG is evil bad man. shame on you GGG for not giving me free stuff when you said I had a chance at free stuff." |

What's bother me. It's, we have no idea if we are elligible or not because of the bug.
And the support have no idea if we are in the backlog winner while a simple SQL command can give you the answer if you have the said database to backlog winner. 8 hours + 6 hours = 0 drop gang |

Watched the entire event. Anything that was on Twitch, I watched live.
Have received nothing so far. Guess that's a bug for ya! I'm not annoyed though. Was very happy to view and really excited for what's coming! |

" and I can agree with you on your points, maybe a random chance idea was bad and put more stress on an already faulty system. Maybe they will learn from this in the future, and get better. Maybe twitch will one day fix their drop issue, maybe next time GGG will just guarentee 1 drop for every 5 hours or so of view time. We really don't know. I think they thought it was a fun idea since their game is so RNG based so make the drops RNG based, I can see them thinking it was a good system going into the con. Now maybe afterwards they'll adjust for the next time. Idk I honestly have no issue with the inequality of it, it added more to the excitement for me. It wasn't just check back every 5 hours and see your reward, instead your checking throughout the day to see if you got something. |

" this. if there was a backlog they could do this. they are just sending shit out to people as damage control |

Since the event ended, I've had 2 messages telling me I've won drops. (remember, i originally thought i had 0, and contacted support on both days) According to the thank you post the system backlogged hard, i'm guessing they weren't expecting 100k people tuning in or 8 full hours day 1, and 85k day 2. And the double drops only hurt the situation that much more.( The road to hell is paved with good intentions I hear) None of the stuff has gotten to my MTX stash yet, but i'm sure it'll get there.
What i think GGG's thought process was, was something similar to this: They decided to not just give away swag bags at the Con, but to include us all at home as well. They wanted to give us a bit of excitement, and a keepsake from Exilecon. Would we use demon eyes, or footsteps? Probably not, but we would have something to remember the first convention by. And I think that was the point. I think the RNG was to go with the poe theme, and was supposed to break down something like "people that watch day one, should get one or two things, and people that watch day two should get a couple of things." But due to... Let's just call it life... Shit happens and shit went wrong. I have been told by support they are working on a way to fix things and since they can't tell if someone actually won or not this is tricky. Not to mention how upset the people who legitly got nothing are. So what I'm trying to say is, I think we should take a step back, and remember what company this is. If this was Blizzard, or Bethesda, I 'de say it was a scam. But GGG has always been pretty cool to their player base. |
