Too much salt, too eager to prove that they made the right choice.

Sure TencentGGG are doing this much better by just squeezing gigantic $$$ out of some of the player.

Looks nothing like D3 graphics tbh, looks more on par with poe now, looks nice :D
+1 I was pretty excited to watch the trailer, which turned to disappointment almost instantly. It looks way worse than D3 does, and the combat is the same. It just seems like they added some clunk to it to try and match PoE melee.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

On par? Far beyond and better, 4.0.0. better step it up. It's the itemization that concerns me.
.Sometimes there isn't a good answer. No matter how you try to rationalize the outcome, it doesn't make sense. And instead of an answer, you are simply left with a question. Why?

but you don't get a cent in both cases, why are you worried?

If I had a scroll fragment for every path fanboy Diablo-hate post...

The polished professional standard of ARPGs that is Diablo, and the billions in revenue it rakes in, is an inspiration to the amateur made up-and-coming Path of Exile. AAA titles make lesser titles better by setting a bar. Plus this dungeon crawling ARPG market of ours isn't exactly booming so a big name like Blizzard bringing a hit like Diablo 4 to the current catalog is a good thing. You watch, PoE will get a boost in activity from younger gamers who will be like "hey this type of game, oh cool I love this, what else is like it".

And if all that logic still cant penetrate your fanboy ego-shields then let this fact sting you to your core: Diablo 4 will make more money in the first 5 hours of pre-sales than Path of Exile has or will make ever so... womp womp.

Huge D1 and D2 fan here, played both of those for years when they came out. Was really hoping D4 would be a great game, as I was planning on playing both. And I love the ARPG genre. I do not qualify D3 as an ARPG, but as a hack 'n slash. Blizzard trying to cater to a bigger audience and the most casual players, destroyed the diablo franchise.

If you want players in the game that completely change what the game is, you do not really love a game or genre. Like what happened to D2 to D3. This is not the type of players a game should aim for. This will leave you with a very very small playerbase.

Blizzard has lost alot of goodwill with most diablo players(D1/D2), which will probably result in low sales for D4. Only the few D3 fanboys left. And since D4 seems like a D3 with just some mmo elements, it won't get those to come back.

Yes, D4 will probably do very well. But it still won't be a real ARPG or real diablo game without any of the game's main features: Trading, skilltrees, leveling, gameplay, itemization, etc. And blizzard just seems totally clueless still on how that all works. There is a reason ROS did not sell well... there is a reason why D4 is marketed as not D3.

Still hoping for many more good ARPG games, since I love the genre. But D4 ain't it.

Edit: I gave Blizzard another chance to fix D3, by buying ROS when it released. Won't give them that benefit of the doubt again. Still regret that buy, but do not regret any of my supporter packs in PoE so far.

Lol, all that fan-boy talk. You're clearly the biggest fan-boy here for Blizzard with that nonsense. D4 looked blatantly worse than D3. They just downgraded what could have been turned into great progression back to D2, then slapped a filter over all the graphics.

All they had to do with D3 is make farmable runes for skills that change them in sweet ways, and add new affixes for rares and remove the stat difference, letting them roll ancient and primal ancient. Going back to D2's generic point system is just a straight downgrade, and I feel like the loot will probably not be much better.

@OP: You can't tell anything about the graphics from watching some alpha videos.
