Blighted Maps in a nutshell
Wow.. so much hate.
As I said I was not complaining and I just wanted a constructive discussion about this "problem". Oh well, sorry for just expressing my concerns. |

GGG needs to adress the issue of game performance even if it means reducing overall mob size from main content or league content.

At least you manage to finish it, mine just get massive frame drop once 7 or 8 portals are active.

As others have said, a tidal wave of item trash isn't 'Blight Maps in a Nutshell' it's 'Any league mechanic in a nutshell' From Beachhead to 5 General Domain of Timeless Conflict, to Breach encounter. Even high quant rare maps. Also pretty much anything you post here is going to get shit on violently, if you want non stop validation and upvotes, go post a popular opinion on Reddit. I understand the OPs point.
Why give us ~3000 items from a source like a Blighted Maps/Legion 4/5-Way-Fights/Master Safehouses ect., if the average player picks up ~30 of them (currency/cards/essences included) and 99% of the rares are complete junk to begin with? The "Trash Pinata" just went worse and worse with the last leagues. Creating a bazillion items per map needs ressources as well. So why not just tune down dropps to a "normal" level and make some of the loot a bit more worthwhile? Nobody uses a ilvl 84 ring with 12 Life, 25 Mana, 8% Fire Res and 3-32 Lightnig Damage to Attacks. So why even bother generating them? GGG could implement a finer system, where items with higher ilvl can only roll mods with a certain tier (so no 8 Life roll on a piece of gear you get from a Guardian anymore^^) but reduce the overall loot that dropps. This would reduce the screenclutter in generall (if you're using a lootfilter or not doesn't matter, even with a "strict" or "semi-strict" filter, the rares you pick up are 99% garbage), therefore slightly improve performance because less shit needs to be generated and improve the overall feeling of getting loot. We'll see, what they come up with for 4.0 I guess. |

" The problem is the player base is conditioned into mindless mapping. The performance drain for calculating all those crap drops AND having to draw them take their toll. You're unlikely to get meaningful discussion out of GD. It is a bit of a trip to see how people will defend the insane amount of junk that drops then later complain about the very same quality of drops in higher tier content. Legion turned glacier into a farm just by being a sustainable map with fairly consistent positioning of the league mechanic. Because of the rng factor (read junk drops), minimal investment per map allowed profit each run, no having to recoup losses out of profits. The reality is every person who defended all that junk dropping would prefer quality over quantity, because several leagues later the loot explosion is meaningless if there's no actual loot. I mean, even the term loot filter, if you really have to filter it does it deserve to be called loot in the first place? Yep, totally over league play.
