Zombies and GGG Dev team

Level 18 qual 0 zombies in +2(previously +1) helmet, with ONLY meatshield support. They stopped dying somewhere in act 4 or 5. I'm at T10 now, and the fuckers never EVER die. Really, I only summon them once, when I log in, and that's it. Not complaining but looks like GGG slightly overbuffed them, at least in durability department.

maybe they do? just not on their official accounts? who knows but clearly there's a disconnect.. the way anyone can see how they balance the game is beyond obvious but at this point they are more worried about 4.0 and beyond..

You did not check, I know, you don't really know how powerful zombies are.

I heard one of the streamer ( probably Raiz ) saying that zombie's dps was ridiculous on stream, so even if spectres are the main clearing skill, zombies still are very strong atm.



The dps of zombies ..., no, all minions has always been ridiculous though. Mostly to make up for their nearly unusable ai.

Even before the changes in this patch, you could get 10 zombies to output 6 -7 million dps depending on gear setup . That was of course if you could keep them on target.

So to me it was never a question of will they be good enough for all the content. after making 7 shaper viable zombie builds over the span from when they really weren't viable to now the only major changes is how well they clear and if they have the hitpoints to survive the bullshit you are normally supposed to dodge. (such as the shaper bullet hell etc).


So, we finally know how massive a difference between their theoretical dps and their actual dps was for all these years they had a shit ai.

You ever play with Zombies?.... Without heavy investment they pretty much never die except when starting out and in end-game. A T10 map, yes, pretty much nothing is going to kill them. Opening a densely populated breach will if not enough minion elemental resistance. Physical Reflect could. But all in all, you won't have to recast them. And it's not so much that they are unkillable, it's that if you are doing enough DPS to kill everything quickly, the enemies aren't around long enough to take any Zombie out.
