The Carnival Mystery Box

is it just me or... i think Glimmerwood Mystery Box would have been the perfect box to release for blight league.

Easily one of my favorite MTX's of all time. Never bought a mystery box before but now I bought a fkton of them.

Yoyoyo, GGG, don't listen to those people, you did an awesome work, before saying anything, present to GGG what would be better WITH IMAGES, not only typing.
For me you did in sequel to IT the movie hahaha. I love those RGB lights.

I just don't buy those boxes because it is rare to drop the things I want. But it is a nice promotion to get 230 points things with just only 30 points.

Have to agree. After wasting 100$ in lootboxes one league just to get a pair of wings i wanted which i never even got, i felt disgusted. I would have happily gave those money to GGG to directly purchase the item i want. But instead they took my money and gave me nothing. It was an item that fited perfectly with my build from that league and couldn't wait 3 months for it because i knew that build will get nerfed into oblivious next league which exactly did.

So they forced me into gambling for it and got only shitty duplicates in return. I swore on myself that day to never participate in any form of real money gambling ever again and never did. I'm happy that most games even EA are starting to get rid of gambling mechanics from their games. Until GGG does it too i will just boycot lootboxes.

They forced you? Are you insane? The items hit the shop 4 months after the Mystery Box is released. While I don't agree with lootboxes in general, you outplayed yourself there.

Be smarter next time, you are the only one to blame here.

I really like the carnival boxes, I bought a supporter pack and put all the points into these mystery boxes and got four rares. Very well designed. This is what convinced me to buy the supporter pack. I don't regret it one bit.

I prefer the 'classic' themes over steampunk, really.

After watching this, i want to play Kiss Psycho Circus lol

PoE is slowly entering the asian MMO market, with ridiculous themed microtransactions that have nothing to do with the atmosphere of the game...

It won't be long until we see schoolgirl and furry themed microtransactions being added to the game, after all, who wouldn't want to see the Templar in a skirt, amirite??

I've never felt the need to comment on these before but this mystery box is abysmal. It's almost like Glimmerwood but much less inspired. One thing I loved about the other mystery boxes was that there's a lot of variety. Even if the theme isn't quite my thing, I can at least look forward to getting something unique. For example, the portals and weapons from the Glimmerwood box look great on their own and match a lot of sets already in the game.

The purple set is too similar to the madcap design and nothing in the box really stands out on its own except maybe the Parakeet Pet and Harlequin Portal. The footprints are just worse versions of the Glimmerwood ones. The rest of the items are too strongly themed to really match anything else. The design isn't on par with previous boxes and it's not nearly as creative. There was absolutely nothing in the video I was excited about getting which is just sad because I usually love the stuff you guys come out with.

I also very much hate the new combine mechanic. Are we no longer getting original combined sets? I love the idea of being able to get rid of duplicate set items but the option to combine the two sets together was what made mystery boxes so great. Now we just get to change the colour of the item if we have a duplicate. That's very lame if you ask me.

When I first saw this in the Frontier box, I thought this meant we could combine duplicate set items of the same type for a different colour in addition to the previous mechanic where we could get an entirely new set for combining two full sets. Why is this not possible? Can you not just spend less time on the recolours so that you can fit in the time to create a proper combined set?

I'm quite disappointed to say the least but at least you guys are saving me some money I guess. Hopefully you come out with some better stuff in the future.

Edit: I remember when the Fall of Oriath packs came out people were complaining about them looking bad. The Kitava and Beast ones especially. After seeing this I kind of regret not buying one of the higher tier packs. They did look a bit odd but compared to this they were a godsend.
