Human will achieve immortality in twenty years
"Yeeeah, because a movie about a game that involved the Illuminati and FEMA camps is going to paint an accurate picture. You know you can already add an extra sense to your body with stuff ordered off the internet in your own home? If you're feeling brave or stupid enough you can implant neodymium magnets into your finger tips, letting you feel magnetic fields like that around HDDs, power cables or, I'm told, an MRI machine from a room or two away. " Thats what you think it was about, its not what it was about. Go to sleep man youre already dreaming. The naivete is strong in this one :)) "May those who accept their fate be granted happiness.
May those who defy their fate be granted glory." Edel |

"So are you going to explain any of the things you apparently know that I don't or just act smug? |

And he was incorrect
I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.

And if that ever happens it'll be pointless in the end. Because once the Sun dies, humans, or whatever they will have become then, will be destroyed anyway.
My point is that immortality will never be achieved, at least not in this solar system. |

To live forever, what a curse!
Know this, everyone you know and have loved was born because of the need to procreate. I miss passed loved ones, but without their deaths and the deaths of the one that loved them before me, I would never have been born, nor would my grandchild on the way. Worse, take that need away and we are stuck with the same assholes forever. |

Even if nanotech could create immunity to disease, aging and reconstitute the recently deceased the second side of that coin is the abiltiy to permanently eradicate the entire population of earth in the blink of an eye. The deadly applications of nanotech in the hands of man far outstrips any potential good that can come of it.
"Never forget that the human race with technology is just like an alcoholic with a barrel of wine". T.K. You see, there's three kinds of "there". There's "there", t-h-e-r-e: "There are the donuts." Then there's "their", t-h-e-i-r, which is the possessive: "It is their donut." Then finally, there's "they're", t-h-e-y-apostrophe-r-e. A contraction meaning: "They're... they're the donut people." Got it?
