No one can change how you lost your drop, and I'm sorry you don't have friends you can play with like I do.
However, why aren't you using your currency to make your items better? DPS in this game is mostly based on sockets and links (because defensive passives are needed more to make it further) Find a 3 or 4 link helm, gloves or boots and do your best to make it useful for you. With the right support gems you'll find yourself in a much better position to lay into the bad guys (rather than the forums!)
Edit: And the community here is getting worse. The only people who disagree are the ones that make it so.

Or they would sacrifice like 20% on 2 res for +20 hp and 100 more evasion, which i then keep in storage waiting til i can replace something else to balance it first

So then you did exaggerate then. My point exactly. You are doing fine. You cant find the best items to replace 6L and 5L items every 10 minutes. I have played 100's of hours and only gotten 2 unique drops and 2 exalt drops. It sucks, but if everyone could get 1 exalt an hour you would see prices sky rocket into insanity. Much like Diablo 3's gold. Pretty much any item with more than 600 dps in that game is now over 90 million gold. Its unreachable for most people because of the fact that everyone farms gold or buys it in bulk for about 5USD per 50 million.

It's desync, and it's awful. This happens to me constantly. -
A good item drops for me, then suddenly 3 other people run over to it, spamming their mouse 1 on it. I'm right near it, click on it once and it doesn't get picked up. Oh no, now the timer is about to end, so I start spamming my mouse on it, and it doesn't get picked up. Timer runs out, and someone else grabs it. Even though I was there the entire time.
Yea, that happens to me all the time and it's extremely frustrating

i switched to hardcore from default. All that crap is worthless to me now. And yeah i could trade it for hc currency, at 75% less. So my 10 exalted would be more like 3. And then if i buy new gear and die, then that same currency is now just back into default lol

you realise that additional players only increase items by 50% (not 100%), that means 2 players will drop items worth of 1½ players, more the people less items PER player. By playing solo you will have more items with "your name tag" drop than in groups. Groups drop more items than solo in general, but remember all that loot is divided for 6 players, not just you. So only way you can get more items for yourself in groups is to ninja.
As for the whine about loot timer, I get all my loot I want, with 60-80 ping, np. I might miss click once per 10 items, and still manage to get the item. I think the problem is you, not the game :S
