And I think Charan's point was that it cannot truly be an unknown curse item, because most people will ed up knowing about it before long anyway. Cursed items have to be some drawback that the individual *chooses* to take on, because the benefit outweighs that detriment in their own opinion. An item of great power, but in order to use it there's a price you must be willing to pay. And you will, knowingly and willingly, if you want that benefit. Precisely so, VG. Cursed items work in structured narratives because the author or writer or director can carefully layer the revelation of the curse; when you're in a shared environment like a computer game online, the nature of that curse will soon be known to all. :)

Or alternatively maybe cursed items get their curse lifted after you have killed 100,000 enemies and it then transforms into something great?
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.

This is actually not so stupid an idea, given that HC death results in default transition...it would certainly encourage more people to give Hardcore a go. ;)

As one who wont touch hardcore with a 64 foot pole, something like this item...still wouldnt get me to try out hardcore. :-)

Are these uniques diamond only?
In which case i wouldn't make them supreme because it would mean pay to win. Doesn't matter how much you pay you shouldn't be able to have better items than free members. I suggest something cosmetic rather than something with skills on it, and besides a diamond kiwi already is a unique. NOT EVEN DEATH CAN SAVE YOU FROM ME
