Let's Help Design the Diamond supporters Uniques

Just to get an idea of what is already in the game, I'll post some of the more interesting (not necessarily powerful) uniques.


Adds over 100 to all attributes!

A cool minion themed amulet.

Adds the ability to block spells? Awesome

Makes your character larger. This can only be obtained by winning a ladder contest.

+1000 life!

Increased experience gain.

Very powerful

Fires an additional arrow

I need to understand this more, will the item be usable by any character I have if so sweet if not then I am really going to have to see what I love the most!

I am defiantly hoping I can get some kind of visual effect with it too, that is a big thing for me ... I wonder if it could be an item that can allow you to morph or some bad ass weapon like those in Dark Souls!

And as it states here:

I would love to have the quote in my signature added to it as this has a lot of meaning for me from where I have come from to where I am now in life!

Oh, dude, it's more than that. As far as I know, we're helping design a unique *that can be found by anyone*. In fact, another diamond messaged me we agreed that if we find each other's, we'll give them over. Because by the rules and ethical guidelines, GGG can't give us a copy of our own designed item. It's hilarious and true.

Hopefully the public will also oblige by that and give us each our unique if they find it before we do =D

I have all sorts of ideas, not just items.

Example :

Waikikamukau is a town in NZ, it's pronounced " Why kick a moo cow" this could be a cow/enemy/NPC that is a nod towards teh country of origin and ALSO Diablo ;)

The Living Staff

An old gnarled staff, with living leaves growing on it. It looks like the wood it's made of is still alive, even if it's not planted in earth.

Req level: 60
Reg Int: 134
Damage: 88 to 265
Att/sec: 1.1
DPS: 194

Energy shield: 100
Constantly drains ?? hp/sec
Energy Shield Delay is 0
hmmm... should I add a Life Leech/Life gain on killing blow?


It replaces the Wand/Focus combo, but as a staff.
It only requires Int, no Str.
It constantly drains your life.
Your energy shield constantly recovers. It no longer has a cooldown.


The staff is actually still alive, feeding on the life of whoever wields it. But at the same time protects its wielder.
I'm sure a witty flavour text could be found. Something like “What nature takes, nature gives back”.

That is a very cool idea. Did I mention I'm considering a cursed weapon? I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who digs the concept of power and its cost.

Yes, any kind of cursed weapon would be amazingly awesome. In fact, I personally think all Unique items should give, like you said, a great power but with a cost.

The Kaom's Chaos Plate is a very simple example of this (+1000 life, but no socket) but its kind of... simple. I know it's possible to find item ideas that are a little more interesting/exiting.
