Question about Global Damage.

I have been googling and searching here and I cannot find an answer. Sorry if this has been asked a million times.

According to the wiki only one type of "attack" can be modified per type of attack. Meaning that physical attacks can't be modified by spell, trap, or mine modifiers,... only by the keyword attack, such as "attack speed modified by 12%" meaning that physical attack damage speed is modified; not spell casting speed.

Wow, punctuation all wrong there lol.

My question is because of the weapon Fencoil. It says on it "45% increased Global Damage".

It doesn't have one of the four keywords attached to that statement. Attack (physical damage), spell (spell damage), secondary (haven't figured that one out yet), and trap (with the damage source being a trap).

So my question is: does this particular "global damage" modifier work for physical skills, spell skills, and trap skills?

The other key feature of this staff is that it turns active skills placed on it into a level 8 "trap support"-ed skill. Turning a spell or physical attack into a trap. I would figure at the very least that Global Damage means that it affects traps then. A 45% Global Damage increase seems like it would be pretty rocking. Otherwise this is just a low level weapon for beginning the game.

Global mods globally affect the damage you deal, whatever type it is. For more info, please check the wiki and this post.

Fencoil do turn relevant spells or attacks into a trap and the above global damage do affect it. More on trap support here.

Do note that "increased damage" isn't as wow as you might think because math, specially as you progress in the game... more on wiki.
