I don't use poemaps as it isn't working for me. The current atlas has too much bloatware, skipping stuff is great. From all those 159 maps i enjoy 30 max, let me skip leveling and grind shaped, elder maps and i'm happy.

I haven't ever traded for maps, i just don't understand how you can enjoy skipping the content and grind and then claim the game is fun for you.

appears illogical to me.

Don't mistake this as me saying the grind is a perpetual continuation of "fun".

Mark Rosewater's lesson 13, players will do the whatever the best method is to win. It's the game designers job to make that method fun.
I've never had my atlas filled so soon before. This is also great for masters. Such qol.

Yeah, this works perfectly in a game where the designers designate a target that's consider "winning" or "defeating the game".

I play the game to kill mobs and make progress, the website allows me to make this progress more easily

Doing higher level content or making your character stronger. There's a "winning" in every game, it's what you want the players to be doing. Otherwise you're not really making a game, you're making a game design platform.

GGG's obsession with including trade but making it bad, is in all things the problem. They've intentionally made the best thing to be doing in this game by any metric bad.

If I didn't buy maps then I would never be able to run them. Constantly running tier 7 and below maps isn't fun.
I get it some people dont have issues with maintaining maps, but for everyone of those theirs somebody else who does.
I'll run 7 tier 11 maps and 95% of the time I will get back 2 tier 9, 2 tier 7, a tier 6 and 4 maps below tier 5.
The other 5% of the time I will get back 1 tier 11 or tier 12. Mind you not one of each but 1 or the other.
Maps more then 2 tiers below the map you are running should never drop, just like it does for map tiers above the tier you are running.

That reads like an argument to remove trade completely? :p

Btw if your metric is "fun gameplay" then your argument falls flat on it's face, ignoring the lucky few who actually enjoy playing trade tycoon in an arpg game instead of a game designed to compete on economics with other like minded people.

Trading isn't even bad if you use it once every other week for some illusive thing or perhaps a unique or two.
It get's increasingly troublesome the more you use it which is the correct way to do it.(putting a higher burden on people constantly trading rather then playing and infrequent trading)
