While I agree that trading items and even currency should be something that needs some time investment, this doesn´t account for being actually able to play the game. Maps are a part of that, an essential part.
Solutions could be so easy.

Let´s say you can swap a map at Zana. You pay one map of a tier and get a selection of all other maps of that tier. You pay a little fee (an Alteration for white maps, an alch for yellow maps, a chaos for red maps, 3 chaos for guardians).
No "easy map buying mode" and at the same time a small currency sink for the game.
Because at the moment, player A sells map X for Y chaos to buy map Z from player B for Y chaos who then repeats that very process at player C.
Everyone is wasting their time, everyone is frustrated and in the end, not even a currency sink.

This is life saver, thanks for sharing this. Map trading has been pure cancer so far so this is pure gold.

While I think for the most part trading dramas are exaggerated, map trading is horrific.

But, realize if you're trying to get market price or cheaper maps you will wait longer. The time you waste trying to save 1 chaos on a map you'd make 5-20x that mapping.

I sell my maps for 2-3x the cost, but if I get whispered I will reply straight away. I also pay more for maps because generally people listing it that high are doing so it's worth their time as well to stop their current mapping.

I remember someone complaining about spamming 30 people for Tabulas. I asked what price? They said 10c. I said go buy one for 12-13 and see what happens. Of course, they got it right away.

But saying all that, getting all white-yellow maps done quickly is a nightmare if you don't find 1 person who will sell you a whole bunch at a time. It's the least thing I look forward to every league.

Will check it out next time i'm gonna trade maps, can't be worse than the usual process :p

How about just grinding them out and playing the game?

I haven't ever traded for maps, i just don't understand how you can enjoy skipping the content and grind and then claim the game is fun for you.

Don't mistake this as me saying the grind is a perpetual continuation of "fun".
