Int/Dex hybrid class speculation...

I want a class thats like the Assasin in D2 with traps and stuff. God I love the assasin. Right now Im going to play a templar.

Sorry, but you guys must all be wrong... Its obvious it has to be a very manly man of epicness. Like Archer.
Like this type of sexy manbeast. Otherwise, I would be severely dissapointed. Because this Looks so good. ![]() Don't lie, we all know we want him to be Our Int / Dex Hybrid. |

Some kind of spellsword perhaps?
Uses magic to enchant/ buff up... or as it has been said; uses an alchemist-edge to it. Potions and poisons and such; along with some enchantments to buff/debuff. As for the dexterity part; sword-handling and evasion perhaps? Critical hits; reduced movement? Stun/stagger? Nimble and magic expertise are in focus pretty much; or replace magic expertise with some kind of alchemy if you're going for more of a "magicless" hybrid | dexterity as the main focus, not so much magic. With lighter spells if you'd be going for more of a dexterity-edge. Sort of depending on how you balance the INT and the DEX. But yeah, basically i'm guessing some kind of spellsword; more like hoping for it; unlike the assassin class which is pretty much overrated and would probably be op/imba. |

Would love to see it play something like a Javazon in D2. Lightning/nature melee character.

I reckon the alchemist, shaman, druid ideas sound really cool. Being a player of shaman and druid classes in previous games I can say I have enjoyed playing them.
Possibly a huntress type class? One that involves the use of a pet, maybe? With the use of traps/poisons. That idea might be too much like the Ranger ^_^ May the grace of Keysus bless us with his divine codes

Hey, everyone! One thing, Monk = Templar, pretty much in this game. Even in DnD games the Monk is a Str/Ki(a form of magic). But he is suppose to be faster and wear lighter armor than Paladins, but what is that suppose to make him? An "completely generallized" class? Seems reasonable. (Ramdom ramble got me to this conclusion.)
Second, I think the Ninja would fit the Dex/Magic scenario better because, they are suppose to be really fast...well, ninjas of the night, and have mystic abilities and what not. They are less relient on Str than monks. |

I think it should be a monk/ninja hybrid and then since the summoner archtype is missing they could easily place that in the middle being a balance of all 3.
With your choice of pet allowing you to utilize any of the 3 classes. pet 1 would be a range pet, pet 2 would be a fighting pet and pet 3 a caster pet. |

I'm hoping for some wicked surgeon class.
Someone who works a poisoned dagger/claw with much the same finesse as a scalpel, knowing exactly where to inflict most pain and injury. On the other hand he would use his vast knowledge of human anatomy to raise his unlucky 'patients' from the dead. So yeah, pretty much an alchemist/summoner class with a little twist. | |
|
So Something like a Cross of the Assassin Shadow Disciplines, and Necromancer Poison & Bone skill sets, with maybe his "Raise Skeleton"?
That actually does sound bad-ass. |
|
|
I have no clue what's comming with this class, but after looking at skills spoiled so far, int/dex would be my combination of choice. And I'm gonna place my bets on the character being female.
