Don't know if this helps, but if you press f1, then when you start to see the ping start to spike and then go constant, it should be able to tell you when you're about to dc (or just rubberband like crazy)

I've bought over 200+ microtransaction points through their shop, because GGG deserve support for developing such a great MMO. However, I thought after 2 patches, the issue would be fixed regarding the disconnection issues, but still nothing has changed. I've talk to many guild members about my problem, and it seems that I'm not the only one who is having this problem. I am seriously on the brink of quitting POE and moving to Diablo 3 if this issue does not get resolved in the next patch. It's extremely disapointing that GGG created such a marvelous game, but cannot fix a issue that many players are facing.

If you are experience connectivity issues, I would recommend creating your own thread, as there can be a huge number of causes for disconnections, and not all of them are related. This will allow us to better trouble shoot your particular issue.
I would also recommend posting up a WinMTR report while experiencing issues and while attempting to play Path of Exile. If possible, I would also suggest doing so for one or two other gateways, as this should give us the best possible information. Umm, so i know nothing about comps. But I am having the same problem. Have been playing for a month. Love the game, but it is suddenly unplayable. There was a little patch last week. That's about when it started. I'm on the California gateway. Won't bother with any techy tests and don't expect a reply, just thought I would vouch for the issue. BTW I log on and am disconnected within about a minute. That's all I know.
