I keep disconnecting

Ever since the newest patch released (I downloaded it today), I've been getting disconnected a lot. When I try to do anything there is a few second delay, and sometimes while I'm just walking around I get disconnected. It hasn't done this the entire time I've been play (about a month), and it's really being annoying. It was running fine for a few hours earlier today and now it disconnects me within 5 minutes of logging on.

Same issue, Unexpected disconnection occured, as I play hardcore league this issue is unacceptable and don't want to die due to server instability.
Same here, got the same problem since the new patch and I can comfirm that some of my friends also got this issue.
Also can confirm this. I keep on disconnecting randomly since the last patch. I bet at least 20 times today. Sometimes i cant even login afterwards. Already tried the paketchecker thing and it tells me all files are in sync.

Main problem: Disconnects, Hard to login
Second : laggy gameplay, rubberbanding

Cheers
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.
There are a few things we need to know to figure out what the problem is here! First of all, what ISP are you using, which Gateway are you connecting to, and does changing your gateway between Europe/America/Singapore prevent you getting these disconnects even when the latency is higher?

You can also run a WinMTR and send us the results. That'll tell us exactly where the problem is, whether it's your router, our servers, or the route your internet provider takes to get to our servers.

You can download WinMTR from here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/files/

To use it just run the appropriate exe (32 bit or 64 bit), enter the hostname in the "Host" box, and click start.

Once the "Sent" column shows at least 50 click "Copy Text to clipboard", and paste the results into an email to support@grindinggear.com (you can then just close WinMTR).

I would like you to get output for the game server you are currently connnected to. To get the server's IP, go to the folder you installed PoE in and open the "logs" subfolder, then open the "Client.txt" file. The file will probably be quite large, but scroll to the bottom and find the last occurance of this line:

2012/03/27 10:33:25 3917590 50 [INFO Client 3768] Connecting to instance server at 127.0.0.1:12345

In this example the server is 127.0.0.1 (do NOT test with that IP though, it's just an example). Use the IP you find there in WinMTR in the "Host" box.

Thanks if you're able to do this, if you have any problems with it let me know.
Balance & Design
Same here, lag spikes started last night. I have already sent the requested info. Really hope this the issue will be localized and fixed soon.

Cheers
Im on Comcast in the US on the America server and Im getting very frequent disconnects at the moment.

at noon during the race it was fine.

Try running something that can log packet loss like WinMTR or the like.. see if you're getting bad packet loss to just specific servers or overall.

Sometimes I have DSL issues that cause interruptions, but it's my ISP and has nothing to do with the game. MTR should be able help you diagnose that.

Edit: I usually run it against the host us.login.pathofexile.com

I tried doing this, but everytime it says "could not resolve host name"
I don't know if I should put something else... if that's not the hostname then could someone please tell me where to find the proper name?

ps. ofcourse I only put in the IP and not the full line of text

Did you look in the Client.txt for the ACTUAL ip address and not use 127.0.0.1?

Please provide details of what you put into the Host text area of the WinMTR app and we can help you change it to the correct thing. It shouldn't have the :12345 part in it either. Just locate at the end of your Client.txt log file where it says that it's connecting to the instance server, then take the IP Address portion of that and put it in the Host. That should work.
