also if you use WinMTR,

if your using windows 7 you have to make the win MTR.exe file run in win XP compatibility mode. right click the .exe and go to properties.

that's for the "unable to get raw socket" issue.


for the "unable to resolve host name" issue

be sure to enter the IP address correctly.

for example

173.192.25.28:36098 this is INCORRECT
173.192.25.28 this is correct.

getting the hang of it...here is "50 in the sent column" with the latest occurence in the logs.txt file.

I'm also having this problem. Almost impossible to play more than 1-2 maps without ending up disconnected. Also dying is pretty painful with 10% exp loss already + map losses almost unplayable for me.

this is the pingplotter image. No idea what it means, but there is kind of an ominous red block in the graph.

Experiencing massive lag spikes followed by disconnections. Comcast ISP. American gateway.

edit: saw the recommendation to run this wile playing and stop it after getting DC'd. this is the result.

I see a lot of people doing this tracing thing, and not many responses from GGG to them. Hopefully GGG is responding via PM or email and not ignoring people.

Reset modem and bypassed router to PC. Seems to have fixed the problem. I'll reconnect router. Hopefully modem reset fixed it and it isn't a router problem.

well, that was it. Cable modem reset seems to have fixed the issue.
