Auto crash at the docks

Having same issues. I tried to enter the docks with an alt, and after 15 minutes of failure I decided to just play another character. Now running into the same issue at the Chamber of Sins with my new character. Unbelievable.

EDIT: This has been happening since before 10.4

As only a small number of people are getting this, it may be worth patching the game through a VPN to see if it solves the problem. Chances are, you're all using a similar ISP and getting the same old broken pack file when you patch.
Balance & Design
Happened to me as well the other night. I had a clent.exe crash while doing a map (client.exe crashes daily btw), but the last time i couldn't get back into the Eternal Laboratory. I was pissed losing my map instance and logged out. Then even the next evening i couldn't get in there, instant crash when clicking on the waypoint.

The solution for me was delete my HashCache.dat.
I think it saves your last instance information and stuff like that. Anyways it fixed it, loaded right in after that. Hope they fix the client.exe crashes though, bout done with it.

I'll add that other than the last small patch, For the last two big ones i had to reinstall the game as it wouldn't patch. One was the known Xp issue and the other was i believe from pack corruption or likewise due to a hard lockup during play and it probably corrupted the client on my pc.

Please GGG fix the constant Win Xp crashes. I've done everything there is to be done to lessen them, but they don't work. The new Starcraft expansion runs like a champ. It's not on my end. :/

Tonight's mini-patch seems to have this resolved this (for me). Thanks!

Edit: I did do a full re-install but this didn't immediately fix the issue for me.

Using a VPN is useless, I tried it last week, it didn't resolve anything.
I had the same issue (crashing on loading Docks). Just wanted to reiterate that uninstalling the game and reinstalling fixed this problem for me.

AMD / nVidia system.
Bump.

Going to have to add myself to this list. Crash at the docks, since cyclone patch. AMD / Nvidia. Didn't even know Chamber of Sins Crashed for me until I read this thread. Happy to send any information if you want to contact me at my listed email. I see other threads with a similar issue.

Going to try to politely PM Rory who responded on this thread.
For me , the game was unresponsive while loading the Docks so I used CTRL ALT DEL to close client.exe, and started it again right away.
I was surprised to see that the map (the one leading to the docks, forgot the name) was the same, even the enemies I killed were still dead. Then I tried the docks again, and it went fine. Weird...
Happens again. Eternal Laboratory. Just did 4 maps in a row with a friend, now when i click on the waypoint to Eternal Laboratory, Instant Client.exe crash. Restarted the game, deleted my Hash file like i though worked last time, but it still instant client.exe crashes when i try to go to the Lab. I can use waypoint to other places just not there.

Pack check says all Hash files are in sync.

Furthermore i can go there on my other character. So this is not about a corrupt patch or content download.

Edit:

Got in again.

Went there on my shadow as i said above, reloged on my witch, went to a few different waypoints then straight to the Lab from another area waypoint.

Next time it happens i will try going to a different waypoint and straight into the lab instead of from the last waypoint (Sarn) that it kept crashing from to see if there is any correlation.

Just wanted to say Rory responded to my PM first business day. I am going to attempt the basic fixes he suggested, if any of them resolve my issue I will post to this forum immediately. Otherwise this issue will hopefully be escalated.

Just FYI Packcheck shows all hashes in sync.
