What affixes they are has already been exposed to datamining.

You don't know what's going to drop for you in-play regardless of datamining.

The only thing we don't know is what seed number corresponds with which ability layout, which only really effects trying to trade them with (possibly different language speaking) strangers.

They're about as close as you can get to SSF-in-trade-league, with the side "bonus" of being an uncommon drop.

Can't reliably farm, can't reliably trade, league will be over in a couple of months... why bother with them?

The "oh noes the datamining" thing irritates me - you need to be able to see something in order to desire it.
