So... will there actually be a way to convert legacy maps into current ones?
My understanding is that the conversion is to be 1:1 without a change of tier. Currently not possible.

" You can downplay the significance of it all you want, but fact remains that this problem didn't exist until GGG decided to reshuffle the Atlas with every league, and it is in direct conflict with the main appeal of Standard. How long do you think it would take for GGG to add a vendor recipe that takes a legacy map and spits out a current one with the same tier and mods? I bet it's a lot less than it takes me to run all my semi-useless legacy maps or endlessly whisper people for trades. |

" It absolutely does. I would not be playing PoE if I had to lose all my progress every 3 months. According to Chris, 10-15% of players are on Standard. It must be doing something right. |

I'm considering migrating to standard until 4.0. My decision hangs on this. If it's done correctly, I'll give the league a pass. If it's screwed up, I'll start fresh in the new league. Would be nice to know before launch.

Why would I want to convert my chicken nuggets?
I could probably do with converting some of these... They don't hold as much sentimental value... "We were going to monitor the situation but it was in the wrong aspect ratio."

I think you're completely misunderstanding the need for converting old map series to new. If you don't have a map tab, you don't have a problem - just run those maps.
However, if you have literally thousands of maps of old series in various remove-only map tabs and can't remove them without running them/having dozens of open tabs/quad tabs to put them in, you have a major problem. " Standard can actually be pretty fun! I played it for most of Synthesis and had a blast :) Guessing you were probs just kidding with the usual "Lul Standard" rhetoric you see around here. " also planning on only keeping the chicken nuggets. thing is, i already bought several map tabs i don't need anymore after ggg changed their course. hopes are up we can give them back some day but that hope is really small. but eventually it's been their missing long time strategy that made people like me buy several tabs. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" Yeah, thanks for telling me that the problem I'm experiencing doesn't exist. Let me say it again: legacy maps don't tick the Atlas. Normally, I could level a character starting at low tier maps, and have master dailies and shaper/elder influence follow me as I work my way up the tiers. Now if I want to run my legacy maps before any new ones, I will forfeit all of that. And if I don't run them, what are my options? Either just flat out delete them, or waste time whispering people for trades (and we all know how fun that is). All that to resolve a problem that GGG created, in a league specifically made for people who don't want to have these problems. Fuck that noise. " Very interesting logic. 90% of players avoid it, so it must be doing something right to attract 10%. This doesn't even account for the bots, RMT, and power traders. I'm sure there is some nostalgia for migrated characters you liked during league, but that still doesn't explain this "appeal" you speak about. I'm not sure how many hours you get to play per week, but getting what you need to get done in 3 months, isnt really that intense. Again I dont really fault those that play standard, I just dont understand the appeal, nor the concept that 3 months is too short to make a character or do the atlas. Finally I was mostly joking. If you like it play it. I dont have to understand if you are truly enjoying yourself.
