So... will there actually be a way to convert legacy maps into current ones?

Cause even if you can upgrade your map tabs, that's kind of a biggy.

No. Its added as a fix to map tab, you dont need to convert your old maps if you dont have map stashtab that cant hold those maps.

if you dont have a map tab, you can use the vendor recipe:

3 of the same map == 1 map of a tier higher, will be a current edition map.

It's just about the best thing one can do with them, but legacy maps don't tick your Atlas, don't have Shaper/Elder influence, and don't proc master dailies. Standard players get fucked either way.

Gotta say I was pretty bummed when I saw that empty map tabs don't vanish in standard, never really regretted purchasing anything but that was cutting it close despite the utility.

Now, I'll admit to a bit of an OCD there, though, I keep my tab count locked to 10 because that's as much as it will fit in one row and I've even asked support to remove the surplus tabs when I bought some of the new ones. Still, even with that accounted for, having a bunch of ghost tabs you can't get rid of in any way is probably an issue if you care about your standard setup even a bit.

Run them or delete them.

If they give us a conversion that's unavailable to those without tabs, the "it's P2W!!!" crowd is going to have even more ammo for their monthly bitch threads.

I kinda doubt GGG pays much attention to the yes it is/no it isn't p2w bitch threads, outside of mods trying to keep people following the forum rules. And those bitch threads are never going away.
