Playing totems is like being the disabled guy irl, don't go builds that make you feel mentally ill
If you can't handle a build that requires managing X things or something like that - still do it, and learn it

As long as PoE got this dumb requirement of stop to cast ability, skills like totems, winter orb or mirage archer will be real KING. Ppl like you will cry every time when freeze at Betrayal spawn and die like pigs.

You don't even know me, why you're trying to do this?
P.S : never had a betrayal spawn freeze

What's so dumb about STOP to CAST?
When you pee or shit...you stop right? right.

Totems are best for beginner. Managing summons is very time consuming and annoying. I suggest this build for any new player:

If you'll start playing HC - you'll learn faster, get better faster
When i first ever saw POE, downloaded it, and when i was picking a league i was like : eh, some blue flag and a red flag with a HC tag.. fuck yes im going HC

If a game has to offer two sides - casual with rainbows and a pink pillow, or a dark and not forgiving with a big "fuck you" when you make a mistake - one has to choose what will make him stronger faster

The only thing you learn is that some content in HC in case it is too hard.

No offense, but POE is terribly balanced, therefore I would never recommend someone to start POE on HC. In case they really wanted HC, I'd recommend them some brain dead skill such as Winter Orb.
Wow with the troll hate between HC (which with PoE's current cheese structure of random burst damage is stupid) and SC which is just as stupid at times.

And telling a newb to go HC??? He'd quit the game *entirely* before he got across the beach. Way to get GGG new players.

Summoners/Totems are good new player friendly builds but can easily lead to the rut of almost always following that path. Traps are just as valid for new players, if a little more tricky to learn.
Anything that allows the player to do damage by a proxy device (trap/mine, totem, minion) is good for new players.

Or, if they really do want to learn, go SC with a pure short-range melee skill, get facerolled repeatedly through the first 10 acts, and learn how to play the game properly - rather than placing something and running back to stay out of the way. With a melee build the player has to figure out the enemy, and now not to get instapopped by their cheese mechanics.
Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.
Patch Notes 3.19:
Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.

I don't know what people are trying HC and then leaving... me and my brother did not
Few friends of ours are telling us to go to SC because HC is not friendly...well, we said we will move to SC, if we get our balls cut off

You and your brother are outliers.
