What, so you're saying the fact that I take my time responding and care about spelling is the difference between me and someone who's posting to cause trouble? Good lord, if only you'd seen how I behaved on the internet ten or twelve years ago. Same writing style, give or take, completely different intention. That's like saying 'not everyone can be nice' -- sure, a small percentage of the world are somehow incapable of it, but I think we call them sociopaths and psychopaths. No, most of the time 'can't' is just 'won't' and usually 'couldn't be bothered.' And we all have moments like that, some of us more such moments than others.

...but this is the Internet. It's a written form where we can actually re-read what we've written before hitting 'submit' and 'preview' before even that. There is absolutely no excuse for someone posting something inflammatory or goading other than 'didn't really think about it' -- and does that excuse always fly?

I have never reconciled the fact that typing at a keyboard is nowhere near as reflexive and impromptu as speaking, and yet people here are often so much ruder. Even when they're not anonymous -- folks who know each other IRL on Facebook can get really mean. Is the illusionary distance of a screen and a keyboard?

...It's all very odd.

Either way, I refute the claim that 'not everyone can craft a readable, honest post.' Even if it's only a sentence, or a word, it's worth more than a wall of knee-jerk rant bent on putting noses out of joint.

And for the record, calling Path of Exile 'the one and only Diablo 3' is a very good way of putting noses out of joint. Tsk.

Labeling people as "retards" and "OMGWTF WoWcasuals" and comparing the game to Modern Warfare literally made me facepalm. Learn to express your opinions without such an agressive approach and people might listen.

1 forced to join random group,s ( like totaly random )
2 repetitive game play ( like in any arpg .... )
3 skill tree given totally no customization
4 90% darkspore wannabe

now to explain number 4
1 health orbs ( same as darkspore )
2 no skill points ( same as darkspore )
3 no skill tree ( same as darkspore )
4 random events in random maps ( same as darkspore )mob swarms closed in special rooms and so on
5 use max 6 skills ( same as darkspore )
6 delay 2 switch skills wile playing ( same as darkspore tough u switch a carr in ure team 2 get that other skill set )
7 random teams (same as darkspore ) yea u could only select what act u wanted 2 play and u got put in a random group )
8 boss fights ( kinda same as darkspore ) no bosses that act like normal mobs * i don't hate this tough
9 customization trough gear and big random numbers ( same as darkspore ) and yes in the end u where hunting for the same items * same kind of stats )
only difference is the story line and rmah :)

EA just releases crap that only stupid people want, Activision Blizzard releases crap that everyone wants until they realize it isn't what they want and by that time they already bought it and wasted many many hours on it.
Example: Starcraft Zerg race, hydralisks suck, no anti air, the only good ground units they have dont attack air, only two total units in the whole race attack air, and they are both totally inviable in combat yet both other races cheese tactics involve spamming air units. Everyone that actually manages to win games uses infestors on the zerg race. Blizz solution: nerf infestors.

Advantage: EA
Reason: I don't want any of the franchises that are under EA's grasp. I'm not worried about EA making something that I think I like then ruining it midway through the dev process.
Comment: EA makes it really easy for us to play their games without paying, if they by chance accidentally make a playable game.

Dragnar is that a rebuttal to my original post? That was an example and not my thoughts on PoE. PoE and D3 are both great titles and I'll be playing both. I don't feel the need to defend one or the other, or feel inclined that I MUST pick only one.

I have been playing D1 and D2 with the same 3 friends since D1's launch date, so I'm super excited to go through Sanctuary with them again, just as much as I am to go through PoE with them.

It's gaming, do what you enjoy, spend what you want to spend, play what you want to play, because at the end of the day, if you're not having fun, you're doing something wrong.

meh, you should leave already, there's no point staying here.
Each time I read a D3 bashing thread, I wonder if the dude thought about what he was writing.

Like dragnar talking about repetitive gameplay, lol...
there's repetitive and repetitive... but people don't really pay attention to gameplay videos or skills descriptions.

The only one who had a valid argument for not liking D3 was CharanJaydemyr, all the other ones sound like they forget to think or pay attention to details.

In the end, it's pointless to stay here if you like D3, because it's just depressing to read all the nonsense flying over here, and I'm afraid at some points I will start insulting people for being dumb (which isn't a good way to have a conversation, but I can't help it).

Everybody that is defending Diablo 3 started gaming with World of Warcraft.
